Here's a song from a game soundtrack I did at the top of last year: Adventure Trek, which is playable Six Flags' Great Escape Lodge!

The aim musically, and sometime mix-wise, I went for was to have the charm and cartoony feel of the Crash Bandicoot series of games mixed with other genres that fit specific environment/tasks/gameplay/themes throughout the game. All the tracks labeled as "Minigame" are mixed mono due to being played on tablet devices.

I'll provide some context via my new website (link to come) when that goes up within the near future! Enjoy!


Imaginaut Encounter Phase 2

Music from the recently released MagiQuest Chronicles, which is a package of 3 games total! The music currently available here is from the 3rd installment, Rise of the Totem Masters! The style was a mix between the original aim of the previous games' medieval orchestral style mixed with a distopian future that reverts back to tribal-style mixed with a few synths (again, it's in the future). 

All of this music is within the game and triggered to dynamically change via the "Vertical Remix" method, essentially the game engine will change the mix of the instruments depending on set rules that are coded.

All the music here is from playing the music in Unity and having the game engine remix the stems during play!

5) Kurzak The Amaranthine (First Encounter, Combat) - MagiQuest Rise Of The Totem Masters

3) The Tribal Leaders - MagiQuest Rise Of The Totem Masters

Music from the MagiQuest Chronicles, which is a package of 3 games total! The music here is from the 2nd installment, "Guardians of the Realm Portals"! 

This is set around a medieval fantasy setting where the player wields magic with there Magi Wand (a physical item the player owns, like a controller you keep!) and with the use of Runes with special abilities to go on quests, learn from the Portal Guardians, duel with goblins and dragons, remove the evil from the lands, and save the Realms!

The specific song above is the in-game theme for Nilbog Bandishanks, the Goblin King! All percussion driven music, and is played when you finally dual.

This music, within the game, is triggered to dynamically change via the "Horizontal Resequence" method, essentially the game engine will change the arrangement of different bars of music, or clips, based on determined branching paths that can also loop the music path back to the start to branch in other interesting ways!

MQC: Nilbog Bandyshanks, The Goblin King!

Hey folks!

Here is some music from Kennedy Space Center's Cosmic Quest I got to work on with Creative Kingdoms LLC. This music is playing back during the Mars Colony section of the game (where you design and build your own sustainable colony on Mars) as well as the Table-Top learning games where you learn about farming in space, proper materials for building a rocket, keeping healthy in lower gravity, and more!

So, quick mention about what you are hearing, and I'll go more into in a post on my website soon:

This is a playback of the music system that we set up for these stations, which I rebuilt/mimicked on my end using FMOD Studio. Essentially the longer, drawn-out music in the back is triggered in random order (with somewhat set branching paths) though not super frequently, since these music segments are farily long.

But, the bleep-bloopy stuff on top, that is triggered at random as an ever-changing highlight-like layer of sound the plays within the key of the music. So the aim is more of a musical soundscape. These randomized sounds have parameters I can adjust for setting ranges of volume, pitch, panning, how long to wait before triggering another sound, etc.

The reason for setting the music up this way will be covered in the aforementioned post on my website to be done soon-ish, til then you can also hear the music in action with gameplay on my site right now, the top 2 videos at this link:

KSC Cosmic Quest - Mars Colony and Table Games Music/Soundscape

Howdy!

Late last year (2016) I was fortunate enough to get pulled onto a Virtual Reality project on the Oculus Rift doing music for American Family Insurance's Virtual DreamBank, which is a slightly interactive but mostly linear VR Experience where the user runs through fun simulations of building their own business and watching it come to life! Neat!

The Virtual DreamBank was developed by Arch Virtual, based out of Oregon, WI, and to my knowledge the Virtual DreamBank is only playable as an installation at the physical AmFam DreamBank which is located in downtown Madison, WI. It may come to the general Oculus store to acquire but I have no idea so don't take it as truth haha

But enjoy! The music ranges from fun-loving acoustic tunes to orchestral to relaxing lounge music as well as some sweet elevator music. :)
