Our First Date is a song about the flashbulb explosion in that first moment - the realization that you hardly know a person but you will fall in love. When you see nothing but the face in front of you and the blurred spinning of the world behind her as you share that first dance. When a street photographer catches the moment preceding your first kiss, the spark of the bulb like fireworks in your head.

This acoustic quarantine version is reminiscent of modern Americana, bringing this Alt-Rock song more into the style of The Lumineers, Punch Brothers, or Shakey Graves. The stylistic shift felt right, given the "stay at home" intimate quality of the track, feeling like you are in Bradshaw's bedroom listening to him perform to you.
