눈물이 번져 시야가 흐려졌다.

무너져 버린 나를 보게 되고,
바닥에 떨어진 페어 테스트 용지가 마치 나의 “한계”를 형상화한 것처럼 느껴졌다.

와 줬는데.
웃을 수 없어서, 정말 미안해.

내가 그렇게 말하기도 전에,
그가 조용히, 하지만 또렷하게 목소리를 냈다.

그 목소리는 결코 책망하지 않았고, 그저 곧고 진실했다.
