The Deliverance 
From something 
I have become. 
The perception 
That makes  
My heart numb.

We become dumb. 
The value of the form 
Overriding a soul 
Justifying a vision 
And its norms. 
I call upon my name 
This hallowed  
sacred identity 
Is all the same. 
To know what  
You don’t know. 
To see when 
It doesn’t show. 

The acceptance 
Of the invited angels 
Surrounding  
The ground 
Around me 
As they sing 
And spread  
Their wings 
Granting me 
A chalice 
Allowing me to see. 
I am not a body 
I am free.
 
I am among 
The ministries 
Who and what 
Has changed me? 
Buddha, Christ, 
Mohammed, Shiva 
Their names are 
The same as mine 
In this sacred plea. 

The acceptance 
Of the invited angels 
Surrounding  
The ground 
Around me 
As they sing 
And spread  
Their wings 
Granting me 
A chalice 
Allowing me to see. 
I am not a body 
I am free.

The miracle of grace 
The gift of 
This holy place 
Inside my place. 
Freeing me 
Of a world 
And what is displaced.
