Big love to @djbetty joining me as May’s guest for Foundation. I met Betty for the first time in 2015 and was taken back by her friendliness and welcoming energy. I hadn’t been working in music in Ldn for long but had known of her through her prestigious Rinse reputation and a guest mix she’d done for Insert at a similar sort of time. Betty’s sound is a perfect melting pot of attitude and emotion, balancing fierce club with grime, alongside thoughtful and experimental electro. She’s an artist who puts other artists on the map and has a spellbinding investment and connection to the scene, in Paris, London and beyond.
