My intention for this EP was to reconnect with my North African heritage, embracing the spirit of boundless prosperity and harmony. Alkebulan is the original name of Africa meaning “Mother of mankind”.
In the process I found myself embodying the spirit of the legendary King Mansa Moussa of Mali, a ruler whose affluence knew no bounds, making him one of the wealthiest monarchs in the history of our planet. He showed unparalleled acts of generosity when he gave away so much gold to the people in need on his Hadj pilgrimage that it sent a shockwave through Egypt's economy. 
Join me as we explore the rich tapestry of Alkebulan's history, and let the melodies transport you to a time when prosperity and harmony were the order of the day.

This story is about us and the journey we undertake as the mythological archetypes which these songs represent. 

We start as “RAMA”. The exiled one who carries a burning sense of longing for sacredness. This eruptive energy wants to burn everything that is not serving us anymore. Through the singing of the mantra, we tune ourselves back into the harmony of the universe. 

Along the way we meet “SALMA”. She playfully invites us to her nomadic tent in the middle of the desert. Here, we are comforted by her warmth and tenderness. Here, we are at peace. 

Feeling energised and full of ecstasy we then embody the heavenly light of “KRISHNA”. The supreme beauty and bliss of life. 

Now that we understand the dance of the Universe, we are ready to enter the path of the WANDERING SAGE

A winged being that is unbound and eternally free. His language is music and it comes from a place where everything is in harmony with all that Is. Where Magic is real and everyone is aware of the Universal law that connects us all. Through collaboration and compassion we can bring back Heaven on Earth. May it be so and may all beings be free."

Meet the artist behind the music, in this case @tayranour

1) If you could have any talent in the world, what would it be?

I have this recurring dream wherein i play the guitar just by using my mind, i’m able to hear every note i can think of without the limitations of the body.  It would be a wonderful talent to have in the waking world aswel.

2) What's the craziest or most out-of-character thing you've ever done?

That’s a though question! My mom could be reading this! hahah
Let’s just say, i share the same crazy stories that every “Psychonaut” has experienced.

3)What's your favourite thing about the place where you live?

We live in a small village near the mountains of Serra da Estrella in Portugal and my favourite thing here is to watch the birds show of their flying skills while listening to their morning songs with the sound of the river in the background. This really tickles my heart and makes me want to grow wings and join them, which is what i also do when my body goes to sleep :)
