DJ Chichi (she/they) is a Berlin-based DJ and promoter. With their eclectic sets that range from House, Trance and Techno, she is able to put smiles on the faces of ravers on many dancefloors in Berlin and Germany-wide. In her composition of sounds DJ Chichi reflects the light-heartedness as well as the deepness of  emotions that everybody is carrying around while also keeping a constant energy flow that will keep the dancers moving. With a lot of empathy and great joy in the music she plays, she wants to create a unique dancefloor experience together with the audience.

Say hello to Jana Falcon for our next episode of the Hotcast🔥 series. Born and raised in Frankfurt, she moved to Berlin around 2011, and very soon, the first DJ gigs came up. As an alumna of Berlin's SAE institute, it's not surprising that she started producing too. In 2016, she came out with her first release. Normally, she combines various styles of house, but this time she presents some oldschoolish uptempo tunes for our podcast series.

Jakob Mandler aka Bob (@jakobmandler) ist, seitdem er vor 10 Jahren erleben konnte, was die elektronische Musikszene zu bieten hat, von Groove und Zusammengehörigkeit besessen. Ob auf Disco und House oder auf bouncigem Techno, ihm geht es darum zusammen zu kommen, in Empathie, Umsicht und gemeinsamer Liebe zur Musik. Hauptsache es grooved und die Hüften schwingen.  Im stetigen versuch sich weiterzubilden, entdeckte er nach 5 Jahren Technoplatten sammeln, dass er eine riesige Liebe für die 80er empfindet und gründete 2018 mit seiner Frau das Duo wannadosomething? (@wannadosomething) wo es mehr um Synthesizer-lastigeren Sound geht. 

 Im Techno geht es ihm darum eine Geschichte zu erzählen, indem düstere sehr hypnotische Phasen mit fröhlichen synthi-lastigen Breaks verbunden werden. Manchmal ein bisschen Housig, manchmal scheppernder EBM. Es soll keine Grenzen geben.  Der heutige Mix ist ironischerweise sehr auf trippy und hypnotische Aspekte fokussiert.  Jakob meinte dazu: „Ich wollte mal keinen typischen wild durchwürfelten Mix machen, sondern richtig tief in den Sound reingehen. Ich finde das geht nur wenn man sich mal, wie im Club, ein bisschen länger auf ein Gefühl einlässt.“
