Mario Contarino was born in Rome on October 26th, 1984, and he was diagnosed the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at 5 years old. Since young age he had a strong passion for music, drums in particular, for this reason he decided to leave high school.

At the age of 16 he started to play drums in a band called "Ladri Di Carrozzelle", formed by other guys affected by his own pathology.
The drummer role was divided among four guys using different electronic pads to play all the drum parts; At that time Mario could also learn to read and write the drums on the score.
He played approximately in 600 shows all over Italy (one of the most important has been the May 1st Concert that takes place every year in Rome in front of 1.000.000 of people and it was broadcast live on national television) and in many TV shows. 
He left the band on summer of 2006.

Meanwhile, in 2007, the effects of the disease didn’t allow him to play physically but with the help of technology and computer he started to compose music thanks especially to the software Steinberg's Cubase, and various plug-in. In that time he founded a personal  musical project named TBP, on summer of  2011 he composed 30 cover songs of famous hits of the past revisited in hard rock version.
Mainly he wants that the TBP project conveys emotions and feelings through original music, instrumental or not, he mixes many styles of rock: hard rock, classic rock, metal, blues, funky, progressive, fusion, and others.

On November 13th, 2012 came out “Universe Of Emotions” published by the label Zeta Factory, TBP’s first album, produced by renowned guitar player Giacomo Castellano. 
In the meantime Mario was  acclaimed by famous musicians like Steve Vai, Jason Becker, Mike Terrana, John Macaluso, Mattias Eklundh, Marty Friedmam and many others.
On November 3th, 2014 came out “Musical Colors”, the second album of the project, produced by Giacomo Castellano and published by the Tuscan label Red Cat, in this album played a lot of Italian and international musicians.
These two albums received many positive reviews.
