Following on from his acclaimed debut EP 'Gudbrandsdalen' on Eskimo Recordings last November, Norwegian producer Cavego returns with a new single and companion piece to that release, 'Hunderfossen'. Named after, recorded in and about the world famous Gudbrandsdalen Valley, where Cavego spent much of his childhood, 'Hunderfossen' follows that lead, this time taking inspiration from the eponymous Norwegian theme park.

With more hands in the air moments than your average rollercoaster 'Hunderfossen' channels the spirit of the theme park's thrills and attractions into a playful slice of Scandi-Disco. A bright and bouncy counterpoint to the more thoughtful and melancholy air of 'Gudbrandsdalen' the track also features Cavego's girlfriend providing a spoken word commentary on the "hairy troll in carousel", which will of course make perfect sense to all theme park loving Scandiphiles.

With the 'Gudbrandsdalen' EP firmly establishing him as one of the most exciting new talents to emerge from Norway's Cosmic Disco scene, this Spring sees Cavego taking his collection of vintage synths on the road with a series of live shows in Norway, Sweden and then in May taking his beautifully frosty songs to Mexico for the first time.

Sweden's Almaty joined the Naive family last year with her left-of-centre banger of a debut single "Gennaro" (NAIVE003). This spring she returns to us with her first full EP, Sonic Signature. Building on the sound she introduced on "Gennaro", Almaty gives us an expansive four-track EP that flawlessly combines inventiveness and attention to detail, where breakbeats, ecstatic melodies and bass lines come together in a variety of exciting forms.

"Sonic Signature" is an absolute rave monster of an opener with a growling bass and squelching 303 over precisely programmed breaks. "Gen4" takes a more subtle turn, pushing the dance floor onward with a sense of tension and urgency. Percussion echoes among moody strings while the 303 burbles along.

On the flip, "Tulips" opens - a rich cut with complex levels working together to stimulate the mind and body, with Almaty bringing her take on trance to satisfy both retro ravers and new ears. "Do You Actually" closes out the EP with an atmospheric, nearly beat-free sound where drifting synths and arpeggiated bass invoke 80s horror movie soundtracks.

Diynamic Music’s „Picture:“ series is a document in time, showcasing an artist’s current creative output in order to allow the listener to visualise and understand the artist at a certain moment. It is not an album format, but far more than merely an EP. “Picture:” is various dancefloor-oriented facettes of one producer, shaping the imagery that ultimately results in the listeners mind.

On September 4th, Peckham-based DJ and producer duo ​Chaos In The CBD ​will announce their ​In Dust We Trust ​UK & Ireland tour, and share a stream of their new track ‘Come Together’, from their upcoming 12” ‘Come Together / Digital Sound’.

The ​In Dust We Trust ​label tour will see the duo playing extended sets on a six-stop tour across the UK & Ireland, with stops at Manchester’s ​Hidden,​ London’s ​Corsica Studios ​and Brighton’s Patterns, ​with support from IDWT label co-founder Jon Sable.

They have also shared their new track ‘Come Together’, a jacking, percussive heavy hitter which features searing synths and a fierce bassline, from their new EP to be released on their IDWT imprint this October.

Louis from ​Chaos In The CBD says: “​Beans, Sable and I had been spitballing the idea of running a label for several years prior to moving to London in 2012. The turning point was getting a tattoo of IDWT on my arm in Paris, which for me meant I had to follow through with the project. After a long period of back and forth and feelings of trepidation leading up to the first release, the label has since gone from strength to strength.

The purpose of IDWT has always been to serve as an outlet to release our own music without being at the mercy of external labels, whilst also retaining full control of the project both musically and aesthetically. Our goal has always been to release timeless music that we will be proud of for decades to come. It’s been a natural progression since conception, and running label nights feels like the next logical step and will allow us to highlight some of our exceptionally talented DJ friends.”

Chaos In The CBD look set to close out 2019 on a high with a jam-packed worldwide tour ahead, including their ​In Dust We Trust ​label UK & Ireland tour, and stops at Tokyo, Melbourne, Montreal, Paris and Amsterdam.
