TBX Records continues its case with a new EP made up of two records, produced by Perky Wires. Two banger originals are completed with a remix by Luca Donzelli. The opening track - 'Module' brings dense rhythms and sounds, solid sub-bass and percussive glitches that give an interesting dynamic to the beat. Luka Donzelli rounds up the original with his signature elements turning it into an extremely groovy minimal deep tech track with catchy synths and evolving composition. 'Rachel is an experiment' represent the b-side of the ep where there is a very special alien atmosphere combined with a tricky beat and significant low-end work that will shake you immediately.

Perky Wires - Module (Luca Donzelli Remix)

TBX Records is back and this time with no other than the very talented duo Perky Wires for their 'Lunasee' EP, which comes complete with a remix from swing-beast Reelow. The title track transports us deep into Perky's subconscious, setting the tone for the entire EP. Housy beat is combined with bouncy bassline, cosmic chords, and stunning voxes. This sound would work just as well in the main room as it would in the darker after-hours. Reelow adds his own spin with a super groovy remix centered on an extremely swinging beat and a lot of minimal sound design. 'No more fears', second Perky's original, is found on the flipside and, like the lead tune, focuses on a powerful dance beat and contagious vocals. Although it has more of a house vibe, this naughty tune has the power to ruin any party on its own.

Following releases on Deeperfect, Moan, as well as their own TBX Records, the Barcelona-based duo Perky Wires ready their debut appearance on Hottrax, delivering two club-ready tracks for Jamie Jones’ label on their much anticipated ‘Hippler’ EP. 

Leading the release is the title track ‘Hippler’, which combines swinging drums, rock solid low-end, and twisted FX for a heads-down roller complete with tripped-out breakdowns. ‘Caruselle’ maintains the energy levels as tweaky percussion meets pumping kicks to round out the EP in a subtle yet grooving style. 

Perky Wires’ ‘Hippler’ drops on 18th November 2022 via Hottrax.

Spain-based pair Perky Wires have been on a swift rise in recent years. Their productions have taken them to the Top 10 of the Beatport charts and seen them release regularly on their own TBX as well as further afield on the likes of Deeperfect, Glasgow Underground, and of course, Jamie Jones’ Hottrax. 

The title track kicks off with rattling percussion, mystic leads, and whispered vocals, underpinned by a killer bassline that never quits. 'Tribute of Groove' is a more cosmic exploration with wispy pads and liquid chords melting around the drums. Round is 'Jade', an impossibly silky and spaced-out gem with bumping drums and psychedelic FX.

Tom gets inspired by tracks that don’t fit too firmly in one particular genre. He digs tracks of Traumer, IO Mulen, Michael James as well as new material from up-and-coming artists.
His Airtime EP follows up on his Rawsome Deep EP that was released last summer. With his Blind Vision EP closing the year, 2020 has, despite all the drama, been an amazing year for him. We can only imagine what he will bring us in 2021! Tom’s EP releases the 30th of October exclusively on Beatport, 13th of November on all platforms. Accompanied by M-High & Robin Fett on the remixes.

British producer Ben Murphy makes his South Of Saturn debut with ‘Fresh Talent EP’ this December.
Following releases on the likes of Green Velvet’s Relief and Vele’s Whoyostro, Murphy lands on Lee Foss’ South Of Saturn this December with the ‘Fresh Talent’ EP - a three-tracker of rolling, vocal-tinged house grooves.
The title track on ‘Fresh Talent’ boasts a combination of tweaked-out, heavily swung percussion and visceral FX that sail around hooky vocals that bring memorable energy to proceedings. ‘Can You Feel It’, which sees airy and reverberant vox phrases nestled amongst filtered snare rolls and trippy percussive flourishes, follows with a heads-down yet memorable funk.
‘House Ingredients’ closes with classic Rhodes stabs weaving between a grooving bassline and rocking drums with the occasional spoken word samples puncturing the track, delivering classic house tropes in a refreshing style. Lee Foss’ A&R skills are on point yet again with this South Of Saturn debut for an artist clearly on the rise.
