In his release, KACHOUKH invites us to discover his punchy tech house smartly composed of many layers. 

To begin with, B10: A very efficient combination of smooth vocals, brassy notes, bouncing rhythms and a round shaped bass. 

In a second time, the EP goes on with a very spicy recipe reminding us of salsa sometimes: notes of organ, piano, and brasses meet here with catchy speaking vocals. 

Then, Olanza: the original version and the remix by Nektar Agu, more minimalistic, are both unequivocal proofs of groove.

Premiere: KACHOUKH - Olanza (Nektar Agu Remix) [CDP REC]

TBX Records continues its case with a new EP made up of two records, produced by Perky Wires. Two banger originals are completed with a remix by Luca Donzelli. The opening track - 'Module' brings dense rhythms and sounds, solid sub-bass and percussive glitches that give an interesting dynamic to the beat. Luka Donzelli rounds up the original with his signature elements turning it into an extremely groovy minimal deep tech track with catchy synths and evolving composition. 'Rachel is an experiment' represent the b-side of the ep where there is a very special alien atmosphere combined with a tricky beat and significant low-end work that will shake you immediately.

Miguel Lobo, a Madrid-born Spanish minimal house beast, is the next artist to release music on TBX Records. His magnificent 'In time' EP includes three original works of art. The title tune combines rapid drumming, a lively bassline, and hypnotic vocalizations by Rayzir - an incredible voice owner. 'Brokenheart Club' begins with glitchy percussion sounds, while soulful voxes lie on top of the track's groove-filled bassline to create a pleasant mood. The ep's final track, 'The place to be,' has a powerful kick-drum that produces a rumbling bass end, and it develops into an excellent groover with ethereal vocal cuts and a wonderful organ sound that will have you tossing back and forth between dreams and reality. TB Premiere: Ms. Elin Liso - Back To London [Jamaha]

TBX Records is back and this time with no other than the very talented duo Perky Wires for their 'Lunasee' EP, which comes complete with a remix from swing-beast Reelow. The title track transports us deep into Perky's subconscious, setting the tone for the entire EP. Housy beat is combined with bouncy bassline, cosmic chords, and stunning voxes. This sound would work just as well in the main room as it would in the darker after-hours. Reelow adds his own spin with a super groovy remix centered on an extremely swinging beat and a lot of minimal sound design. 'No more fears', second Perky's original, is found on the flipside and, like the lead tune, focuses on a powerful dance beat and contagious vocals. Although it has more of a house vibe, this naughty tune has the power to ruin any party on its own.

Following releases on Deeperfect, Moan, as well as their own TBX Records, the Barcelona-based duo Perky Wires ready their debut appearance on Hottrax, delivering two club-ready tracks for Jamie Jones’ label on their much anticipated ‘Hippler’ EP. 

Leading the release is the title track ‘Hippler’, which combines swinging drums, rock solid low-end, and twisted FX for a heads-down roller complete with tripped-out breakdowns. ‘Caruselle’ maintains the energy levels as tweaky percussion meets pumping kicks to round out the EP in a subtle yet grooving style. 

Perky Wires’ ‘Hippler’ drops on 18th November 2022 via Hottrax.

Spain-based pair Perky Wires have been on a swift rise in recent years. Their productions have taken them to the Top 10 of the Beatport charts and seen them release regularly on their own TBX as well as further afield on the likes of Deeperfect, Glasgow Underground, and of course, Jamie Jones’ Hottrax. 

The title track kicks off with rattling percussion, mystic leads, and whispered vocals, underpinned by a killer bassline that never quits. 'Tribute of Groove' is a more cosmic exploration with wispy pads and liquid chords melting around the drums. Round is 'Jade', an impossibly silky and spaced-out gem with bumping drums and psychedelic FX.
