Bastian Bux strides into 2024 with an impressive three-tracker on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax. 

Bastian Bux was hugely busy in 2023 with standout cuts on his own Neverendz label, having already impressed on Eats Everything's Edible, elrow Music and Cuartero's Sanity. He hails from Barcelona and has shown himself to be endlessly creative in the studio - each new tune shows an evolution in his sound, whether vocal, deep, tech or beyond. Now, almost a decade into his career, he has played everywhere from Tomorrowland to Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas, and he now opens the year with a superb three-track EP on Hottrax. 

The punchy 'Dunns' kicks off with tight, clipped tech house drums and chopped-up vocal stabs that eventually turn into streetwise bars drenched in attitude. 'Dat Beat' is just as fresh and sure to get crowds in a swat with its hardcore house grooves and twisted synths spraying about the mix. Throw in more well-treated vocal fragments and a fat bassline, and you have real club dynamite. Completing this essential hat trick is 'Howyalldoin', a more playful cut with a sun-kissed vibe thanks to its soulful male vocals and funky bass riffs.

Italy’s Michele Tiberio continues his ascent with ‘If God Wants’ EP on Ilario Alicante’s Sound D’Elite, arriving on 5th September. With previous releases on respected labels like MÜSE, MOXY MUZIK, and Franky Rizardo’s LTF Records, as well as standout sets at Mixmag sessions, Nook Club, and venues across Italy and the Netherlands, Michele is emerging not just as a talent to watch but as a fresh voice amongst a new generation of producers. His ‘If God Wants’ EP is a bold statement, highlighting his knack for emotional nuance within high-energy frameworks.
The title track opens the EP with authority; a vibrant, synth-led arrangement pulses with subtle squelches and thudding grooves. Infectious vocals guide the listener through a dynamic drop, setting a euphoric tone and showcasing Michele’s ear for both tension and release. True to its name, ‘Dynamite’ is a low-end heavy burner. A buoyant bassline drives the cut, while lush female vocals provide contrast and warmth, creating an equal parts sensual and explosive dancefloor bomb. Closing the EP, Tiberio links up with fellow Italian Cletus and dives headfirst into full-power club territory with ‘My Love’. A relentless groove delivers high-intensity vibes, while delicate, darting hi-hats slip in and out of the mix. ‘If God Wants’ EP distills the essence of his sound: deep, minimal, dynamic basslines, and a finely tuned sense of atmosphere.

Bolivian DJ and producer Andy Somoza makes his debut on TBX Records with the Why Not EP a refined two-track release that showcases his evolving sonic identity. The original track delivers a deep, punchy groove with a subtle yet infectious energy, crafted for a dancefloors and discerning listeners alike.

Complementing the track 'Why Not' is a remix by Trippy J, who offers a minimalist and acid groovy reinterpretation, highlighting new angles and textures while keeping the spirit of the track alive. The remix strips things back while adding a hypnotic flow, giving the release a versatile edge.

Hailing from Santa Cruz, Bolivia, Andy began his journey as a DJ in 2012 and quickly gained recognition in the local scene. Known for his ability to blend sounds from different eras, he built a reputation for dynamic and unpredictable sets. Since 2020, he has released music on respected labels like Locked-in, Melcure, Gradient London, Key Records, and Toscal Records, earning support from the likes of Chris Stussy, Enzo Siragusa, Rossi., Voigtmann, Nu Zau, and many others.
