Modern Delivery Xpress continues its sharp start with a fresh drop from rising talent FunkFuse. Marking the third and fourth releases on the label, his ‘The Mess’ EP delivers a confident fusion of simmering house pressure, fronted by the standout title track, dropping as a single on 15th August ahead of the full three-track EP release on 29th August. Following Jay Crusoe’s
impactful launch EP for the imprint, which landed support from Fisher, Gorgon City, Wade, and more, FunkFuse picks up the baton with an all-action approach that stays true to the label’s growing identity: eﬀective, tightly built club tools with personality. Based in Manchester but originally from South Africa, FunkFuse has been quietly building a name for groove-rich, bounce-heavy productions that walk the line between up-front heat and more stripped-back sharpness. On ‘The Mess’, he leans into that sound with laser focus; slinking percussion, hazy vocals, bright stabs, and a bumping bassline that cuts straight to the point. Second cut ‘Golly Molly’ keeps the energy levels high, as heavy breaks and trippy FX circling around a driving low-end, while
‘Back To The Funk’ closes the EP in impressive fashion: trippy voxs, playful grooves, and built for heads-down floor movement. Operating out of Los Angeles, Modern Delivery Xpress is the club-focused oﬀshoot of Modern Delivery, a new home for finely tuned, high-functioning tracks that skip the noise in favour of precision. With each release, the label sharpens its focus, drawing
from a growing international network of producers tuned into that same mindset. FunkFuse’s ‘The Mess’ EP is a natural fit: no filler, no excess, just lean, driving club music with a bucket load of dancefloor potential.

Italy’s Michele Tiberio continues his ascent with ‘If God Wants’ EP on Ilario Alicante’s Sound D’Elite, arriving on 5th September. With previous releases on respected labels like MÜSE, MOXY MUZIK, and Franky Rizardo’s LTF Records, as well as standout sets at Mixmag sessions, Nook Club, and venues across Italy and the Netherlands, Michele is emerging not just as a talent to watch but as a fresh voice amongst a new generation of producers. His ‘If God Wants’ EP is a bold statement, highlighting his knack for emotional nuance within high-energy frameworks.
The title track opens the EP with authority; a vibrant, synth-led arrangement pulses with subtle squelches and thudding grooves. Infectious vocals guide the listener through a dynamic drop, setting a euphoric tone and showcasing Michele’s ear for both tension and release. True to its name, ‘Dynamite’ is a low-end heavy burner. A buoyant bassline drives the cut, while lush female vocals provide contrast and warmth, creating an equal parts sensual and explosive dancefloor bomb. Closing the EP, Tiberio links up with fellow Italian Cletus and dives headfirst into full-power club territory with ‘My Love’.
