Dutch imprint Housenation look to launch their positive energy crammed label this summer with a variety of digital releases on the horizon. The feel good connoisseurs have grouped together for a debut showcase of their sound, a classy VA shared between the founders, Guessbeats, Daniel Sanchez & Shuski and Lexus. House music at its finest from a label looking to make their mark.

Bringing the energy is 'ZigZag' by Guessbeats, a dance floor grenade ready to ignite the flight. Driving drums lead the way on this explosive trip for the tastemakers. Taking a more stripped back approach is 'Oops', but never to be underestimated. Daniel Sanchez & Shuski create a bubbling body of work, hypnotic as it moves with its rippling tones. Quirky samples flash in and out creating a sense of curiosity.

Cruising on a chugging and hazy vibe is 'Dream Teen' from the label founders, lifting vocals working their magic throughout. Last of all is an edit of the famous 'Shame' by Evelyn King that packs a serious punch, created by Lexus. The floaty vocal samples, and percussion breathe life into the elasticated groove. Riding on a plucky bass line for the peak hours of the night. This last track will be available via Bandcamp only as a bonus track of the release.

Lashout - Jiggy EP [RR005] Rarebit Records couldn't be happier to welcome Lashout to the label with his 'Jiggy EP' - As the label's fifth release, we couldn't of asked for a better EP from a nicer guy! The Welsh Skateboarder Lashout has his crisp, unmistakable production skills on full display, as he delivers two tracks both with a very different vibe and feel. The EP opens with 'Jiggy,' full of unique sounding chit-chat that has you singing along, all the while wondering what language you're singing. This stripped back stone cold groover, will have you nodding along like Jamie Jones throughout this super catchy electronic expedition. The second track, 'Smile,' will make you do just that. This almost classic sounding roller, touches on New Jersey and Chicago House elements. With lush chords and a vocal that we still haven't got out of our heads. 'Smile' has us thinking about those wonderful warm days of summers past. This is a beautifully diverse EP that shows Lashout's personality and flare, tipping his hat to Chicago and New Jerseys but with a lovely touch of that Welsh charm!

Pacha Ibiza resident and increasingly vital house artist Calvin Clarke kicks off with the punchy 'Catch A Vibe.' It's a seductive late-night house sound with whirring synths and a detached vocal that bleeds in and out over crisp kick drums and razor-sharp percussion. Young Chilean star Lucas Moss is an exciting new name with releases on labels like Solid Grooves Raw, Roush Label and Drumma Records. His brilliant 'Disko Papi' is a hooky cut with woodpecker-like bass stabs and sleazy vocals. The drums are raw and kinetic for maximum dance floor impact.

French Taiwanese Nathan Alzon and Dutchman Borra join forces for a brilliant new EP on the unstoppable Boogeyman label. With both European and Asian roots and a worldwide spread of taste, multicultural artist Alzon promises a taste of original music and has had plenty of high profile support from the biggest names in the scene. 

Groove Radiation kicks off with a thumping house groove and nice loose percussion. There are funky bass riffs that bring extra party vibes to the quick and slick groove and it's easy to see this one really making its mark. We Came Baked (With Borra) is another high speed and compelling house cut with turbo charged bass and trippy vocals layered into the drums. 

This is another superbly fresh, forward thinking release from all.

Premiere: Nathan Alzon - Groove Radiation [Boogeyman]

House music mainstay Darius Syrossian returns to Griffintown Records with a real statement of intent in the form of his F*ck Genres EP. Syrossian has always been outspoken about musical styles, preferring instead to stick simply to sign up essential grooves no matter the genre. As a DJ, producer and label head he constantly pushes house forwards in his own way, and that again here shows. 

Up first here is Mandisa, a chunky cut laden with plenty of tumbling toms and wet claps, raw textures and chanting tribal vocals that really get the crowd locked in. Flashdance is a loopy filter jam with plenty of feel good synths and joyous vocals that are sure to bring good vibes to any party. 

If Only is a stripped back groove track with silky house loops and soulful chords next to dubbed out bass and a pitched up vocal full of emotion. Last of all is Watch Ya Bassbins, a filthy dirty cut with sleazy baselines and throwback rave signifiers making it an intense and brilliant cut. 

When asked about the title of the EP -- Darius responded "The EP was named that because I pride myself in not sticking myself into one sub genre of music and not playing or making anything else. My style is predominantly Chicago House influenced, and I like to take risks & play a more Balearic style that covers many different genres yet makes it all blend together. You can hear deep house, garage, funk, breakbeat and even some melodic & techno in my sets."
