The Committee For Sonic Research are pleased to present a third exclusive collection from the sonic experiments and synthetic compositions filed in the archive(s) of the Culture Branch of the British Experimental Rocket Group (B.E.R.G.). A consequence of the deepening relationship between BERG and TCFSR is the revelation that compositions exist that are older than previously realised – apparently the culture branch was working secretively before the schism.

Unlike the main archives, which are organised controlled environments and the more haphazard 'cold storage' media, these oldest recordings exist mostly in rumour - we have recovered some boxes buried in a shallow pit in a wood (that we have agreed not to identify). Sadly it seems likely that many of these recordings have degraded beyond recovery. A unit has been created to track the oldest media in an effort to capture as much as possible.

Selected tracks and recovered excerpts are being made publicly available for the first time, and for the first time we have been able to include some 'unofficial' works.

In addition to recordings from the formal archives, and some recovered from secret stashes that we were able to include for the first time on BERG 3, an archive has been located on the European mainland and we have been able to include a track from that.

The archive of the British Experimental Rocket Group is being made public for the first time, including a selection of unofficial works. In order to protect the idetity of BERG operatives, our agreement precludes us from providing background information relating to the audio. An awkward title indeed for the first Extended Play collection of numbers from WarpCensor. Unlike the last album, WarpCensor has decided to stay within a single theme for this programme.

Regular listeners may be dismayed that these pieces are not designed for critical appraisal; rather, they have been created with a view to alternative uses.

Firstly as an accompaniment to a gathering, or when undertaking a task, when there is no need to focus on any particular aspect of the music.

Secondly, when there is a desire for the attainment of a hypnotic or trance-like state. In this case the listener should set the controls of their instrument to continuously loop a particular item and then concentrate fully on any single component of that number. It may be helpful to stand and make rhythmically matching movements in order to become as one with the music. We have not tried, and therefore are unable to comment upon, using alcohol, marijuana, tobacco or any other mind-altering substance to assist the process; we leave this to the listener's discretion.

It goes without saying that the listener should be in an environment where any inertia or movement during a listening session will not cause them or others any danger; again, we leave this to the listener's discretion.

WarpCensor - Music From Another Room EP

The Committee For Sonic Research http://www.tcfsr.net/ is a publishing house that promotes the work of several artists. Started in the 1980s our primary output was the work of Except Buses, an experimental electronic music group. We lay dormant for almost two decades before being returning to promote the work of tourmaline hum, solo projects by its members and other artists.

Our main portfolio is music-based, but future plans include visual and multi-media work.
