YES this started as a cover of DGD's 'Pussy Vultures". NO that's not what it turned out to be. 

this was actually done during the making of "New Tricks", but in true poog fashion, i just forgot about it for years and just found it deep in my projects folder. so; not really a new one but i still think it should be out cause it goes a little hard.

This DJ and producer from Perth, Australia has been mixing for 2 years. After attending Secret Sky in 2020, it opened their eyes to how much they wanted to learn how to DJ, but they never actually started until they had a song signed to SHELTERNET and were subsequently booked to play for them. Since playing at Shelter they've played at a handful of other venues including Offshore, STATIC, Club Lyoko, LSPOT, Hard as Fuck where they're a resident, The Mob, The Outside, Club The Underground, Breakcore Takeover, and Snowgrid. Their go-to genres to play out are Hardcore Techno, Hard Trance, Hard Dance, Speedcore, and Breakcore. They love sharing music they like with other people. Trance was the first genre they ever actually liked, ever since they found their dad's old Trance CDs when they were 4 years old. Ever since then, they've been really passionate about Trance and Hardcore, though they did have a time in high school when they discovered other genres they liked including J-Core, Freeform Hardcore, and Speedcore. They told me: "Hearing people tell me that I ignited their interest in this kind of dance music makes me extremely happy, and it gives me hope that we'll see more producers and DJs taking it up. It's not in vogue by any means, but there's definitely always an audience for it" 

The inspiration behind their sets is always very simple - they just play songs they really like. They've always seen DJ'ing as a way for them to share music they love with people who are willing to listen, and today's set for Garage30 is not so different.  A lot of the songs being played today are songs they played out at their first IRL gig (that they forgot to record) so consider this set a bit of a re-enactment! Their favorite song in today's set is Paradiselost by Thanatos. In fact, this is one of their favorite songs ever, from one of their favorite compilations ever - Hardcore Syndrome 4. Anyone who knows about Japanese Hardcore knows about the group Hardcore Tano*C, and knows that HARDCORE SYNDROME is always where it's been. Hardcore Syndrome 4 is actually the first Tano*C compilation they found along with Hardcore Syndrome 2 - both of which ignited the spark in their 13-year-old soul that brought them here today. 

Outside of DJ'ing they enjoy drawing. In fact, it's kind of their job. They draw anime for money. If you know, you know. One fun fact about them is that their first STATIC set had to be delayed by 15 minutes because they were shitting themselves to death in the bathroom. Taffa could vouch for this. When I asked them what their favorite non-EDM song was, they told me that it changes every week depending on their mood because they enjoy a lot of non-electronic music. Their answer for today, though, is Predictable by Good Charlotte. They love Good Charlotte.

Finally, keep your eyes peeled because their first album is on the horizon.
