This time we proudly present "Machine Gun Ibiza", a new music project founded in Berlin in 2023. 
Getting bored on the dancefloor is one of the biggest problems of current club music.

Machine Gun Ibiza is looking for something different: The enrichment of dance music with a fusion of organic sounds, sometimes live instruments, and soul in each of these dance tracks. Instead of just non-stop monotonous kicks and basslines combined with the same three notes of a synthesizer, MGI presents a nostalgic, modern sound reminiscent of the pulsating sounds of the 80s, new wave, prog and beyond.

Lih Qun Wong is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer, producer, and storyteller who masterfully blends cello, electronic soundscape, and vocals to craft immersive sonic landscapes. 
A classically trained cellist and pianist with studies in contemporary poetry and writing, she combines story telling with her unique exploration of cello and vocal textures. 

As a composer for contemporary dance and theatre, Lih is driven by a profound exploration of diasporia, the feminine and the storytelling as a link to collective narrative. Drawing on a vast palette that shifts between classical, field recordings, sonic environment and pulsing basses, Lihla’s music creates immersive and hallucinatory aural spaces where audiences can transcend their reality and engage in transformative journeys. 

She has collaborated with artists such as Die Wilde Jagd and Raz O’hara, and is a seasoned live performer appearing on stages such as for Sonar festival, Fusion Festival, Elba Philharmonie (DE), La Seine Musical, La Philharmonie (FR), Stanislavsky Theatre (RU), Queen Elizabeth Hall, and The Barbican (UK), as well as featuring on albums such as "Atem “, „Ophio “(Die Wilde Jagd) and Tyrants (Raz O’hara).

“6 doors” explores a pathway of flow through the opening of doorways, or gates if you will. A passageway of lifting of veils. When Tom asked me to do the 60th episode of the show, we both were taken by its placement on cusp of Walpurgis Nacht or Belthane. I realized that the pathways of womanhood, or witchery, had been a glowing thread through much of my musical journey. And tonight, it’s woven together in a singular journey - one that is neither completely linear nor circular.

Weird and wonderful is the name of the game - a musical journey out from the Tea-Snuggery - way off mainstream: impulsive, spontaneous, demanding - hopefully never boring!

:(:/:) aka ThreeEmoji, is Tom Bossert. Born in 1976, his musical journey quickly led him to electronics. From Kraut Rock and bands like Cluster, Can and Kraftwerk in his youth, to the early 90’s with the start of the techno movement and club culture in Germany. His sets have always pulled on this progression, never purely one thing or the other.
One of his major influences is DJ Marcelle from Amsterdam, and her way of breaking conventions. Music is a world phenomenon and so its output should reflect this. Just like a nervous Zen master on tenterhooks, waiting for the very last sound, impulsive but deeply circumspect, it should bring together everything in a Jackson Pollock-like manner. For Tom, spontaneity and improvisation are always more important than perfection.

The Tea-Snuggery wants to invite the listeners to discover new music and artists from all over the world – enjoy and listen with care! q:
