Did this last week packing for the Vinyl Destination 45 Tour and came across this record. Gonna make Beats on the bus for the next month.

MARIA (BEAT 17)

My daughter slept in our room for the first 5 months of her life (she actually slept in our bed in my wife's arms for the first 3 months).  During these first 5 months, it was lights outs at the Mixes household at around 8pm where my wife and I would just lay still hoping that nothing would wake the baby.  It was during these nights that this mix was created.  I spent hours on end, night after night, listening to massive amounts of music playing through my headphones.  Much of the music playing in my headphones during this time was music that I probably would have never listened to under more ordinary circumstances.  As I would engage in the nightly ritual of listening to music, I would take notes in my iphone's notepad to identify which songs I thought would blend well with each other.  Once my wife and I were able to transition my daughter to her own room I was able to finagle some turntable time for myself while she slept to actually lay the mix down (mostly in headphones of course).

As a powerful figure in the rap game, Kane has collaborated with many artists such as Kool G Rap, Masta Ace and Craig G on the Marley Marl produced “Symphany.” He has worked with Public Enemy and Ice Cube on the single “Burn, Hollywood Burn” with Heavy D on the single “Don’t Curse” with Patti LaBelle on the certified gold single “Feels Like Another One” and the Quincy Jones multi-platinum masterpiece “Tribute To Birdland” as well as the title cut “Back On The Block” from the album of the same name.

Proving that he is a full entertainer and that he is a man of many talents, Kane has also made a few appearances on the big screen in the movies”Posse” “Meteor Man” “Dead Heist” “Brown Sugar” and “Gunmen.”
