Sour Soul is inspired by 1960s and 70s music - taking inspiration from the recording techniques and production of that era, and eschewing sampling in favour of live instrumentation, BBNG with producer Frank Dukes have created a dramatic, cinematic musical staging for Ghostface’s vivid storytelling.

Keith's wizardry intertwines with Ray West's melodies to create a mood of sarcastic romance at the same time setting rappers straight. Proudly recorded in the Bronx, all the writing and concepts were done together in the studio. Mixed with great detail by Phil Moffa at Butcha Sound NYC with features from AG of DITC, Cormega, 3rd Eye & Dyin Breed.

After digging through tapes of freestyles and music from the Stretch Armstrong Show hosted by Bobbito, I found this GEM.. Listeners of the show will remember this as crunch-time, a period of approximately 30 minutes at the end of many shows where phone calls were accepted live on the air. Crunch-time wasn't the official segment name until about 1996. This may be one of the greatest phone call sessions ever! Enjoy. Shouts to Stretch Armstrong, Bobbito, Sear, and Dj Eli Escobar!
