awesome song, love all the details to it like the mix of clean and distorted guitar, especially those clean licks. the vocals are damn awesome. at first the drums were a bit too loud but as the track go heavier they became.more balanced.

I usually don't write in the descriptions because I feel my words speak for them selves and I like to leave it open for interpretation, but theres a few thing I wanted to shed light on in this one.
The first verse in this song is about a time when I was playing shows consistently taking every show i could get but also struggling with addictions of alcohol and other drugs, and the realization that the lifestyle was easily a short trip to an early grave, so the hook referring in this verse to taking all the drugs people would give me and drinks people would hand me. Until, eventually I reached a point where I was fed up enough to get sober and clean up my act.
The second verse of this song I actually wrote just before the riots and looting took place in Minneapolis, I had a strong feeling thats where this country was heading, but furthermore, its also about not expecting for people to give you hand outs. When you want something in life sometimes you just have to take it. 
Its easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
