'The Old Guard' was recorded in 1987 in San Jose by Nicole Campau, at the early age of 11. She was helped by her father Don Campau, a musician and radio-host active since the 1960's, whom lend her his TEAC A3440 4 track open reel recorder. Nicole wrote the lyrics, sung, played acoustic guitar and Moog synth, while her father played other keyboards, percussions and turntables. He later released the tape on his own label, Lonely Whistle. 

The result is a unique blend of minimal synth mixed with cheerful poetry and rap tunes, crossed by a lo-fi folk song and Nicole's personal notes to herself with random asides, as only kids know how to do it. 

Limited edition of 50 red coral cassettes with neon pink j-cards, recorded at home in Rennes (FR).

Le Croquis De La Femme" is a short tale about a mistress and a killing. How to do deal with an excessive passion when both parts are mad?

Both tracks were written, performed and recorded by Laurène Exposito in Rennes in July 2016 with the exclusive use of the Bontempi Eclipse. "La Mort De La Maîtresse" features Jeanne Moreau in Louis Malle's "Les Amants" (1958).

Limited edition of 60 ivory cream tapes with matching cases and rhodoïd j-cards. Recorded at our new home in the french Alps.

A drone whines in the distance; Horoscope jettisons a new 5-track LP titled Misogyny Stone. It has prescient timing: here we sit at the abyss of masculine power. Originally from Miami Florida but living in New York for over a decade, Rene J Nunez-Cabrera produces raw sonic compositions indebted to the visceral experience of performance. The new LP, his second for Wharf Cat Records, expands his palette of sound and exhibits the artist’s range in 5 succinct opi: from paranoid, buzzing headscapes, to meditative, industrial drumming. Washes and other gestures of contemporary noise abound, but the ultimate descriptor for Nunez’ penchant is mood. The title track contains Nunez’ version of a deep club jam, intertwining light and dark, low and high, with Kathryn Undorfer’s spoken word sitting right in the middle, sonically spotlighted. “Narcissist Vague” has a religious breadth despite its relatively short existence; while “Azebache Necklace Bought to Protect My Daughter” is a snare-pegged story of delivering a totem; “New Piece (for Christian Mirande)” starts with an organ’s lament, creepily. Nunez’ distorted, layered vocals then build into a desperate chorus of screams. Horoscope’s sound is embedded in the struggles of personhood. Through modular manipulations and his acute utility of pedals and tapes loops, Nunez’ de- and reconstructs the dynamics of gender relations: look into the misogyny stone; it is opaque and bleak.

Roughly said, Night Sticks is a completely obscure synthesizer duo from Sweden, to quote the protagonists. But for us, love started many moons ago. Their melodies have been floating at home for years. For years, we have been listening to the only 4 tracks available on Soundcloud. With the same exact emotion each time, like unconditional love. Anyway, we could write loads about this record, but compared to its beauty every word sounds discordant...

For our new tape reissue, we are very honored to present a limited remastered edition of 'Postcards From Arrakis' by legendary Belgian duo Bene Gesserit, first released by Ding Dong Records and Tapes in 1983. This reissue contains an unreleased version of "Funny Toys (Dedicated To Friends)" with Daniel Malempré on bass guitar.

Bene Gesserit is a husband and wife band founded by Trazegniet's natives Alain Neffe and Nadine Bal. Since the early 80's to this day, they have been both involved in several projects, as solo or in bands, like Human Flesh, Pseudo Code, I Scream, Japanese Genius, Subject or Cortex for Alain and Ornament and Crime Arkhestra for Nadine. Bene Gesserit's material was mostly self-released but had been also featured on various compilations and hosted by several labels like EE Tapes, Stroom, Minimal Wave, Calypso Now, etc.
