This is actually one of two songs I created in a day. The goal with the song was a sense of intimidation as in our story line, Mt. Olympus is the tallest mountain on the planet with the King's castle residing at the top of it. This song focuses on the main motif for Mt. Olympus and personally I think both songs turned out well. I had forgotten how enjoyable it was to create music in Logic Pro X, especially for tracks like this. Look forward to the second song from the Mt. Olympus series which will be released next week. 

Oh, and if you're wondering, I went with the snow animation because it's the vibe I got creating this piece. As for the background, its a screen shot from the show of Mt. Everhoof in MLP.  Season 9 Episode 8 to be exact. You can find the original on the MLP Wiki. I just used Photoshop to turn it into a night scene for better contrast with the background and logo.

Updated 02/23/2022: Decided to revisit this one and make a version two. This time I upped the tempo, added a second verse, and made the chorus less intense by removing an octave and the brass section. I also including a subtle motif that's found in 90% of the soundtrack.

Original Description:
This is the second song I made in, what I guess you could call, the Mt. Olympus series. For this song the beginning and end motif is replaced with a nod to Hyrule Castle from Zelda: Breath of the Wild, a song i've always wanted to recreate. No MIDIs were used, it's all me playing on my M-Audio Oxygen 49 Gen 3, which I picked up just before the pandemic hit. Before that I used my Casio CDP-130 Piano for MIDI Capture. 
Interesting fact, the Mt. Olympus theme from last week actually stems from this track. The backstory is that I had done an alternate version to this song and then asked my friend Zealous to pick between the two. In the end we decided to release both versions, the original for the castle itself and the alternate as the theme for Mt. Olympus.

Honestly one of my favorite tracks from Portal 2 is Wheatly Science, especially the version by Vandoorea and Danbero so I decided to make my own remix for the ominous Triple Ace Industries within the Forsaken Harmony Universe and I love how it came out.

For context Triple Ace Industries purchased Aperture Science during their bankruptcy. Triple Ace Industries would also go on to purchase Black Mesa in the early 2000's. The purchases led to many on-going projects getting canceled either because they aren't financially viable, or for unexplained reasons.

The Almighty King (Zealous' Theme)

I've put off making Zealous's fighting theme for a long time because I wanted to make a theme the character's creator would see fit for the character. After like two years of putting it off I've finally settled on remixing Dismiss from Kingdom Hearts. The Kingdom Hearts series has always had a heavy influence on Zealous and his creator so I figured it would be a nice nod to the series. Its not a perfect recreation and I don't want it to be. I've changed a few things around, threw in the usual motifs, and overall I'm pretty happy with it. I also got to try out some new instruments I picked up for Logic Pro X. In fact, everything was made using those new instruments except for a Synth, a small section of the Choirs, and the Piano.

As you probably could tell, this is based off "Labyrinthia" by Tomohito Nishiura and Yasumasa Kitagawa from the popular CapCom game, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. I honestly really loved this game and was a big inspiration for how Fireblight is constructed. As such, it only felt right to honor it in this way. I hope you all like it :)
