Will update this without the fluffs that happened just before or around halfway.

Yuri goes into space part one

heavily inspried by 60s rock n roll bass groove "Peter Gunn", hence "Gunn Patter skank",.
this is really just a simple run through of all the parts, andn will tailor it more finely by august for Walrus and the Carpenter event in Tyne and Wear in August.

was great fun writing and playing the distorted Booker T style organ sounds, and especially the wooshy whale/squealing sprite noises, especially towards the end when i let all parts run together at once!

written around an african bass line i heard recently by a guy on a home made enormous bass instrument, sitting on a kick drum, and singing (not the guy in the photo. havn't a clue who he is. i just thought he l;ooked pretty cool!).
so i've written this to accompany the original african track next month

still got to sort out the audio levels on some of the sounds running in this one, but i like very much where it has gone.
got a 303 clone to somehow generate a trippy guitar sound similar to what brian eno might have done (hence the title, have a think!)

images of underwater, surf, warm climes, beaches, lush vegetation, whales, basking sharks, coral, futuristic sea architecture, mermaids, sun light through the water, pacific island rhythms.....
all from a beginning on a local scottish beach!

re-working of last weeks "A Minister coming", but getting stronger and more tighly arranged.
still a bit of shuffling to do, but the main structure is there, and boy, do i love that big bass line that kicks in every so often.

a big acid-stormer inspired by my past influences: early hawkwind, punk, space rock, and acid-rock, but given a total electro feel, and, i hope, pretty much in my own style.

A raw jam straight from Caustic 3.2 free  software...
Loaded up 7 drum machines and fine-tuned them all seperately to give a genuine polyrythm feel, and a few synths... had a total blast creating this one!
will clean it up a little when i drop the stems into Ableton, but hopefully not lose that sort of rough rustic analoque distorting spitting and fizzing transitor sound

these tracks are really just testers and tryouts, nothing "finished".
i'll develop finished versions, or issues of various finished versions as i get more experience at parties with live impro sets.
