Creative writer, producer, and sound engineer Shaun Cruda brings his vision together with a full length LP out on Tech Avenue Records in October of 2021. The album features an array of sounds and analog pleasures that take you on a musical journey. Shaun Cruda used his LP "Culture" as a platform to experiment with different tastes back in 2019, and to allow listeners to indulge in his imagination. The album's highly anticipated sequel makes a return to the Tech Avenue imprint with the release of "Culture 2021". The LP features collaborations with various artists well-known in the LA underground; Naythan2it, Late Delivery, DZR, D.Zeledon, SamBRNS, First Name Brooks, Dominic Marceux, Rahmos, Jorge Bejarano, and Tony Rafael. Shaun Cruda and his fellow supporting artists aimed to create a fresh and sonically diverse LP that conjures and distills their own personalities and various influences perfectly. Next up for TBR005 we welcome label owner Matt Arnold for the next EP on the imprint. 

Born and raised in London Matt is known for showcasing his percussive sound. Teamed with his driving baselines & marvellous vocal work, we’re sure he’s one to watch for the future. 

Starting the EP off with the A side ‘Dance Now’ Matt draws the listeners attention in with the catchy tom groove he has above the bass. Coupled with the vocal hits ‘dance, dance, now’ which rips through the track supplying sumptuous ear candy for the listeners. Drawing heavily from his love of Music On, we can certainly see a percussive masterclass display in this track. Whether it be peak time or for a walk in the park, this one is going to get you tapping your feet. 

For the B side, Matt supplies us with an absolute groover. with another sublime percussive display. This time he takes us through his synth work, supplying us with analog synths throughout using his moog & novation peak set up in his London based studio. This combined with his superb vocal work, shows us why this is a great B side to ‘dance now’.

Argentinian native Funk Off keeps our 2022 schedule moving as he makes his Black Seven Music debut this March with a killer two-track release - Roller. 

Blossoming out of a region renowned for its Deep & Tech House artists, rising talent Funk Off (AR) continues to make strides in the right direction with a stream of impressive releases on well respected electronic imprints. Adding to that tally, he touches down on Black Seven Music for the first time with a duo of emphatic dancefloor-ready stompers - what an introduction!

‘Roller’ is first up, bringing along a heavyweight arrangement and boisterous persona that you won’t forget in a hurry. Thumping drum work and crystal clear percs build the perfect blend of punch and flow, whilst roaring sub-bass adds even more movement to the depths of the track. A hooky rap vocal flows throughout, whilst a secondary vox is twisted and stretched alongside a climactic and sawing synth - before hammering in another furious drop and pushing you back into its groove. 

‘High Wire’ comes next with even more cadence and energy. Driving rhythms take charge from the outset, with a strong core of kicks, bass notes and sampled hand drums keeping you plugged in. Another dominant rap vocal features heavily in the bridge sections of the track, whilst rising melodies build suspense - leading to compelling dives and plenty of robust grove-focused segments.

The new release from Fuse Records takes us on a purely minimal journey that appeals to our simpler side. The artists involved in this new work, GruuvElement&rsquo;s and Silas (Ro), hail from the city of Bacau, Romania, and bring us an EP with an invigorating touch.
The rhythmic and almost hypnotic cadence of &ldquo;Duet&rdquo; leaves anyone surrendered to this EP that proves to be a joint work that has borne fruit. In it are also included the tracks &ldquo;Polydrama,&rdquo; &ldquo;Why not&rdquo; and &ldquo;suspanz.&rdquo;
