The Techburst Podcast 027 - Peetu S

For our 22nd Techburst release we had a very tasty remix package of Mark Sherry & Gene Karz’s first collab 'Spacewarp' and it’s now turn for their 2nd collab track 2 'Global Eclipse' to get the remix treatment. HP Source from down under kick off the proceedings with a pounding interpretation that features a truly devastating drop that’s reminiscent of that Len Faki/Stranger to Stability sound that we absolutely love! Next up is one of Carl Cox's favourite producers at the moment, Steve Mulder. Steve gives us one of his trademark dark & moody remixes that we already know sounds amazing when it oozes out of those powerful club sound system bass-bins. Hell Driver is a firm favourite here at TBR HQ and with this slick remix he shows us why yet again. With a slightly more stripped-back approach, Ben gives us a really fresh alternative addition to the pack. Last but not least, Tea Vuckovic from Slovenia is one of our latest discoveries - and what a talented producer she is! With an energetic, menacing bassline & groove, the track cleverly builds & builds with percussion and FX - tried & tested to wreak havoc on your darkest of dance-floors! We introduced her to you last month on Techburst with her incredible remix of Mark Sherry & Gene Karz 'Global Eclipse', but now she delivers a massive debut EP for TBR. We have 2 tracks here to stimulate your senses called 'Submit Yourself' and 'Intensity'. Both tracks have earth-shattering basslines that will literally rock & crumble the most sturdy of techno clubs right down to their foundations. Eerie stabs, dark elements and effervescent synths spin & twist their way through both tracks and are complemented by Tea's own spoken vocal parts. Tea Vuckovic - Intensity (Original Mix) [Techburst Records] PREVIEW

Fresh after releasing and remixing recently on Techburst, Hell Driver is back with his own 2 track EP this time. The techno juggernaut ‘Cannonball’ kicks things off with it’s sinister sounding minor chords, that will chill even the warmest blooded of people right to the bone. The relentless kick and bassline in this track power along with an almost Halloween-esque backdrop of techno synths, stabs and overall evilness. Next up we have ‘Asphalt’ which is in the same vein as ‘Cannonball’ with it’s absolutely pounding bassline and very haunting arpeggios and chords. A spoken vocal ‘you gotta be careful’ runs through the track, almost like a warning in itself. Dark and hellish stuff as expected from Hell Driver and more machinations to come soon from this talented producer – do not miss!

Hell Driver - Cannonball (Original Mix) [Techburst Records]

30.01.17 - The unstoppable Australian double act ‘HP source’ are currently churning out monstrous techno anthems at a rate of knots. With several releases and remixes under their belts already on Yin Yang and Kearnage, and with them recently remixing Mark Sherry & Gene Karz’s collab ‘Global Eclipse’, it was without doubt the right time for them to debut on the label with their own EP! We open with a track called ‘Planet’ that is a boisterous and rowdy banger that’s packed full of power and raw energy. Pitch bending techno synths worm their way under your skin and leave you feeling violated but ready for more! Next up we have ‘Spirals’, that is loosely in the same vein as ‘Planet’, but features a kind of old school ‘Da Hool’ type lead synth sound that emanates upwards and away from the track’s blistering sub-bass core foundations. You’ll simply not be able to keep your feet still when you hear this EP, this is big and unrestrained techno power – do not miss!

Darmec’s remix of Mark Sherry’s collab with Gene Karz - ‘Spacewarp’ - recently went to #1 on the Beatport ‘hard techno’ chart and stayed there for over 10 weeks! This uber-talented producer is now back on TBR with his own EP that features the tracks 'My Silence' & 'Bavaria'. The former is in Darmec's trademark slamming techno style but has an almost 'trance-like' feel, whereas the latter adds even more diversity to the release: with it's twisted rave sirens, eerie sound-scape and thunderous kickdrum. Completely original and strangely apocalyptic sounding, this EP is an essential purchase that shows off Darmec's serious studio skills – turn it up LOUD!
