Kareem, Founder of Zhark Recordings Berlin, has been presenting heavy armoured track material since the year 96 challenging the auditory, pushing them deep into the abyss.
His definition of the Zharkesthetic lies in conveying a claustrophobic state > an atmosphere of threatening sound architecture constantly challenging the innocuous conventions of the electronic DANCE MEDIUM.

His portfolio ranges from dozens of vinyl releases on Zhark, to release collaborations with industrial techno producers such as Ancient Methods or Dave Foster aka HUREN. 
Kareem has furthermore contributed to projects such as Amélie Ravalec`s Techno Documentary Paris/Berlin 20 years of underground Techno, Perc`s 10 year anniversary compilation or Boomkat`s Connor Thomas conceptional vinyl series The Death of Rave. 

Kareem has played major venue such as Berghain, Tresor or Katharis (Amsterdam) and has been transmitting his dark vision of Techno both as a DJ and in intense long enduring  Live Set sessions.

Capable of creating captivating selections in deep hypnotic techno and ambient as well. He has been the guest of many recognised podcast series around the globe.

Forest People is the alter ego of Bosnian DJ and producer Dragan Lakic. He is one of the main figures in his country when it comes to techno. In last couple of years he released music for some respected labels like Planet Rhythm, Flash Recordings, Driving Forces, Decoy, Credo and many more. "Producing music is my passion and playing my tunes to the people is most beautiful expression." says Dragan. He played almost every bigger country in Europe like Germany, France, Austria, Netherlands, Portugal etc. He is getting more and more support for his work from some respected names like Speedy J, Green Velvet, Laurent Garnier, Dave Clarke, Richie Hawtin, Alex Bau etc. Forest People presents his own vision of techno, deep, dark and dirty, just the way it should be. He presented his personal productions sets in many clubs, some of them are: Tresor (Berlin), Kantine Am Berghain (Berlin), Mamma Club (Lisbon), Sisyphos(Berlin), Respublica (Bordeaux), Panama (Amsterdam), Le Pigallion (Paris), And Club (Johannesburg) and many more.

He has shared the booth with names like Joaquin Ruiz, Mariano DC, Pulso, Alderaan and more. He has also released his sound on labels like West Rules, Aesir, Arido, Dark Forest and more.

1.	What do you think about techno music in future?

“ I think that the movement has been growing a lot in the recent years and this growth is mainly due to the fact that today it is much easier to get our art to any corner of the world.

This is good for emerging artists as it facilitates the sharing of their material. However, this tool which we have today harms us at the same time since many focus only on marketing without the intention of contributing to the culture.

I believe that as artists we must accept that we are on a market and need to know how to position ourselves within, without ceasing to be ourselves or neglect the quality of our art. As consumers, we must be clear that we do not have to get carried away by what we see (reproductions, likes, followers) but by what we listen to. 

After all we are talking about music. ”

2. How do you imagine the future on Earth in general?

“ Ourselves and everything that surrounds us is in constant evolution, good and bad things alike, so it is a bit uncertain to talk about the future. 

But luckily, it is noticeable on a global level that we are increasingly worrying more about the repercussions of the damage we did and we are currently doing to our environment and we are looking for ways to reduce this damage. ”

Ryuji Takeuchi (Local Sound Network/LSN, HueHelix) nacido en Osaka, se contactó con la música electrónica a principios de los 90.

Our thirty-second podcast is a mix of Japanese artist Ryuji Takeuchi.

Ryuji Takeuchi (Local Sound Network / LSN, HueHelix) borned in Osaka, contacted electronic music in the early 90's. At the end of that decade, he moved to the United States, where he discovered Techno, House and Electro.

When he returned, he started doing DJ sets in several places and learned how to produce at the same time. After that, he launched on labels like: LK Rec, Hardsignal, Global Trax, TST, Arms, Mastertraxx, FK Rec, SWR, Innervate, Local Sound Network, I.CNTRL, Impact Mechanics, Silent Steps, GSR, Brood Audio, Inner Surface, HueHelix, Instruments Of Discipline and a few more.
