For this one I came up with 1h+ that is a slightly different from my last couple of podcasts / mixes. Musically I went with a pretty high pace here but still keeping it on the deep, sweet & intimate side of things. 
The mix Is constructed of old time classics alongside a few upcoming (un)release(d)s from Mama told ya. It comes with an epic & nostalgic touch at the end, felt that it can't hurt at the moment. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did recording it.

They are similarly activist and try to share it with their music. Their storytelling sets combine uplifting tracks, fast paced, and raw punchy old school rhythms while often surprising the crowd.

TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ PROJEKT GESTALTEN

Head of the newly minted, queer identifying VRAAA label and a celebrated protagonist on Berlin’s most sexually liberated dancefloor, Pornceptual, Projekt Gestalten is the identity of Brazilian techno producer and DJ, Diego Garcia. 
Exploring pornography as an artform with the Pornceptual collective for more than five years now, their ringside promotion of events and parties globally has seen Garcia’s divergent agenda encourage and inspire its guests to freely explore their sexuality. It took to a point where a recent Boiler Room in partnership with the collective was deemed too explicit for YouTube before finding vindication on PornHub. Adorning their DJ sets in various forms of white wedding dresses and baroque embroidery, Projekt Gestalten’s sexual-kinks, queer desire and bold feminine spirit flaunts a unrivaled promiscuity of tongue-in-cheek tawdry that’s pushing techno music and its artistic, sexual appetites that much further. 
A figurehead within Berlin’s queer techno scene, and diamond in the rough of ‘twenty-tens’ Netlabel culture, Projekt Gestalten’s exploratory conquest of melodic, harmonic and hypnotic sounds is starting to spread around.
Having found pride of place as an established entity controlling soundtracks at risque nightspots and parties the world over - namely making their way through London, St. Petersburg and New York to Sao Paulo and Paris - Diego Garcia’s emergence from the obscure raves of Berlin and its presiding internet culture now sees the artist, with a burgeoning discography and remix catalogue for the reckoning, as an out and loud center stage presence and trailblazing queer, music identity.

Boris joins for DifferentSound Podcast #210.

Boris is kind of a charismatic, multifunctional weapon in the Berlin club life. His musical roots reach back to the mid 80s. When he visited New York he absorbed the unique spirit of the seminal club Paradise Garage. From the Club’s mentor Larry Levan. Boris learned to believe in his musical intuition as well as a broad musical spectrum, which nowadays ranges from Disco, Hi-NRG, Post-Punk and (Kraut-) Rock to House and Techno, all of which Boris loves to throw into one set. “Music was most important for Levan. He was uncompromising and he knew how to convey it. That’s what I’m trying to achieve, too, when I’m djing.”

Many years later, Boris became a resident at Panorama Bar’s first incarnation in Berlin, where he was able to build a loyal following by playing long sets lasting until noon. “The crowd is always a lot more receptive for music at the end then at the beginning. That’s when I rather have the opportunity to present unusual stuff and that’s when I’m able to let my feelings run freely.”

After the old OstGut/Panorama Bar closed in 2003, Boris played in almost every club in Berlin, but when the follow up club Berghain opened its doors in 2004, he quickly focused on playing out here again. From 2005 till 2010 he had another musical platform, as he was taking care of the label Careless Records as an A&R. As a DJ, he is not exactly keen on refining a certain genre, but rather to push music with a certain twist.

Et c’est Mama Snake qui met le fuego aux poudres du grand brasier ce midi. Figure de proue de la techno danoise, Mama Snake a grandement participé à l’émergence et à l’épanouissement d’une scène danoise aujourd’hui reconnue pour son originalité, centrée autour de la culture DIY post punk mais surtout des kicks à 140 BPM. Après quelques prestations remarquées l’année dernière lors de Dekmantel, Boiler Room ou encore son mix Resident Advisor, elle développe aujourd’hui sa propre empreinte avec son nouveau label Amniote Editions, qui tend à réconcilier pour de bon les puristes de la techno avec les nostalgiques de la trance 90’s.
