Blending delicate melodic strains of electronics ranging from deep, ambient music to verbed-out, atmospheric techno, often laced with hints of jazz and soulful discoid expressions, his productions and mixes combine the satiny elegance of loungey daydream with that of more rugged, deep-diving dubs a la Basic Channel. From light to shade, and vice-versa, DJ Sodeyama builds pieces of music where the ever-changing lighting and shifting angles swath you in an oddly comforting headspace. Samuli Kemppi is a Helsinki-based producer, DJ, radio host, promoter, and label owner, best known as a long-standing figure in Finnish techno music. His career dates back to the late 1980s, and he has played a central role in both the Finnish and international electronic music scenes.
Samuli Kemppi specializes in deep techno and is known for his dark-toned and thought-provoking productions. His style is often atmospheric and rhythmically intense. Kemppi has made him a respected name both behind the decks and in the recording world. He has released music on several well-regarded record labels as well as on his own imprint.
Together with Juho Kusti, Kemppi is the co-founder and host of the Deep Space Helsinki podcast series. Over the years, the show has evolved into a highly respected platform among techno enthusiasts, offering high-quality, cutting-edge music and in-depth DJ sets.

Hailing from Argentina's capital city of Buenos Aires, deep techno artist Pulso is on an experimental journey that challenges conventional musical structures. With hypnotic analog sound structures, Pulso's music takes us on a fantastic journey that engages the mind and body at the same time. 
Since founding the SRIE label with Translate in 2013 and releasing numerous EP albums, Pulso has become a named producer in the deep techno scene, with releases on world-renowned labels such as KEY vinyl, Evod Music, Mindtrip, and Semantica. There’s beauty in chaos and method to madness, that much is true to the work of this faceless duo from Sweden. SHXCXCHCXSH’s strain of anarchic noise has sparked conversations and head-spinning records ever since the two producers first swapped notes in 2009. For about a decade, Hannes Stenström and Emmanuel Pascal Moreno stayed out of the public eye as a matter of principle, stripping music to its very base, without the weight of prejudice and social context holding it back: ’we prefer to listen to music in the dark, preferably without knowing who made it, when or how’. From the chaos and their loyalty to instinct came the need to find new structures, and so their faceless records united around a theme or musical element. It was a gamble, but their sledgehammer destruction of techno conventions gave some of the most intriguing sounds of the 2010s. Sampling everything from podcasts to YouTube to field recordings, they’re always on the hunt for ‘in-between’, ‘unintentional’ details, a way to composite the strangest and most innovative techno out there. Their staggering releases on Avian pioneered new sounds (and track names), and successfully manufactured the type of music you could hear both at home and in clubs; and 2024 saw them resurrect their Rösten imprint with the release of DO, an infernal four-tracker made for the dancefloor. Bassiani Podcast 257 explores that format further, bringing their stabbing and psychedelic havoc to a crowd facing setting. Immersive and heavy-duty, this one’s an hour-long clip of their snake-pit percussions, mind-bending techno from the enigmatic Norrköping duo.

Few artists can match the influence that Enrique Mena, AKA Svreca, and his label Semantica have had on contemporary techno. With over 20 years in the DJ booth, 200-plus releases on the label and some acclaimed original productions and remixes, Svreca has spearheaded techno’s second generation, helping maintain Madrid as an international hub for deep and driving sounds. 

As a DJ, Svreca draws from a wide sonic palette that includes noise, dub, avant-garde electronics, electro and, of course, techno. First, it was luminaries like Angel Molina and Oscar Mulero that inspired him; since then he has made it his mission to survey the scene and connect with its most original artists. He funnels these influences into a powerful techno sound for body and mind: immersive, textural and rhythmically complex. Whether in an open-air festival setting or a blistering, pitch-back basement, Svreca’s sets—always delivered with technical precision—are a psychedelic, physical experience. 

His sets are also inextricably linked to Semantica. It’s a two way relationship: the label has become a consistently excellent breeding ground for new talent, as well as home to some of techno’s finest artists. Equally, Svreca draws inspiration from shared moments on a dance floor to fuel the label’s creative direction. From its austere aesthetic (designed by Mena himself) to its boundless exploration of new formats, Semantica encapsulates the heady spirit of experimental techno. 

Across all Svreca's means of expression, one thing is a constant: the music comes first. Less talking, more doing. It’s a formula he has stood by, and delivered the quality of music needed to back it up.
