FBK has been pumping out releases since 1994 as a staple in the midwest. Under aliases The Sleep Engineer (Xplor) and Powerhouse on The Acid Junkies' the Acid Life, he has been a shapeshifter with a steady stream of minimal, pure motorik pulsations that embody that Midwest Freak power. 

Measured yet transcendently driving - a mind-bending wormhole that weaves dark introspective turns into the unknown, Think For Yourself covers a diaspora of modes for the floor - all while encapsulating the energy of his live sets that we know and love. When I found out about Wibo’s death I was crushed, as most of us were. Firstly, I thought it was one of his jokes, he had a sharp sense of a humour, but not in a harmful way; he just loved to move you out of your comfort zone. We worked on this EP for almost a year. Wibo wanted to be involved with me again somehow but collabs were not an option, since we had different studio setups (similar but not close enough). I also didn’t want to distract him from his work on his full-length album at that time. We had done remixes for each other sometime ago (Evan's Gambit was done in 2018.) He wanted to include the Stormfront remix too, but I rejected that idea since I no longer have the stems and project files needed to do a mixdown that would do the track justice. For the Future Eyes remix we had a project file and partial stems, but not the original samples that he used. I did my best to pimp it a bit because the low end was lacking and because it was my favourite remix and, most importantly, it is the first remix w1b0 did for someone. I hope you will enjoy this release.
Dear Wibo, I hope you will forgive me for dragging out the release of our EP celebrating our long and close friendship. We will hit the release date that we spoke about originally though. I had said there was no hurry as I had two releases that were in the pipeline and you agreed, telling me that good things take time. I wish we could do more since we now have almost identical setups, or at least most of the equipment we use daily is the same. You may notice on the record there is no information e.g., artist names, track names, catalogue number and so on. It does not matter to me; I am not important here - the music is the most important thing, along with our friendship. I hope you will agree with me. That is why this release comes with an A4 insert instead, dedicated to you. It was a blessing to have you as a friend.
