Itzaac. debuts on AWRY with Vicarijoto, a deeply personal seven-track journey exploring unconventional textures, warped grooves, and an imbued sense of romanticism. The narrative begins and ends by creating an introspective and expansive space to contrast the frenetic tracks within its confines. Lo-fi colour and processing glue the work together, while the tracks themselves explore unique, yet related, rhythmic concepts. The approach, like the sound design, is original and free of pretension - a work that plays with groove, hypnosis, and minimalism without ever being easily defined.

Colombian disciple of the elastic-arts @gotshell arrives with his debut on Counterchange.

Across four psychoactive, tribalist tracks, the experienced producer and live performer guides us through rich dub-techno hypnotism ('Profundo En La Pineal') to powerful and expansive modular trips ('Galerazamba' & 'Sixty-Eight Languages'). The undulating title track 'Esmeraldas' is a stark modern exercise in polyrhythmic machine music.

¿ Hacia dónde retrocedemos ?
¿ Estamos condicionados a “retroceder producto de un reflejo” ?.

No debemos limitarnos con el significado de reflejo aplicado en las propiedades de la luz, sino que también, para efectos de este texto; debemos entender este concepto como una “acción” que se produce de forma involuntaria y automática, como respuesta a un estímulo.

Somatizamos todo aquello que la imágen representa para nosotros.
Un reflejo condicionado, pero ¿qué nos condiciona?.

Solo quien se observa a sí mismo sabe lo que está tras la careta, pensamientos, miedos, inseguridades, anhelos...

¿ Cúal es la forma de estos pensamientos? ¿ Cómo podemos crear la imagen de un concepto intangible?

En esta serie pretendo abordar esta interrogante, a través de la utilización de un espejo como lienzo, para de alguna manera construir visualmente el reflejo tras la careta, abstraer desde el abismo, y dar forma a los pensamientos que emergen desde la oscuridad.

La utilización de manos como símbolo de autorretrato y lenguaje corporal.

La construcción de vanitas tomando como articulante visual, a la obra de Andy Warhol, Díptico de Marilyn.

La multiplicación de la imagen como representación de la física de un pensamiento, y como recurso compositivo.

Junto con ello, exploraré paralelamente las posibles sonoridades de las imágenes, obtenidas a través del sistema Boomwhacker Color Code, por medio de piezas musicales generativa, las cuales apuntan a potenciar la intención de materializar un pensamiento; gracias a los sentidos de la vista y la audición.

After the last part of the Corpora trilogy and the "Paralyzed" EP by the label owner Sciahri, Sublunar is delighted to introduce a new artist into their family.

For the last decade, Calum Lee AKA Paleman has steadily built a powerful catalogue of releases showcasing his unique percussive and textural take on electronic music. In 2020 he launched a new alias ‘Fresnel Lens’ that showcases his film scoring work and more experimental, explorative personal works running alongside his continuing work as Paleman. After 2021’s self-released PLMN005, 2 Fresnel Lens albums and a short film OST, Paleman turns to Florence based Sublunar Records in 2022 for his next release and longest work to date - ‘Veiled’. The release encapsulates a considered and focused writing process informed by rhythm, momentum, abstract moods and a desire for tangible visceral sound design orbiting techno, UK experimental electronic music, and early electronics.
‘Veiled’ begins with a statement of precision, opener Bite gallops into action with polyrhythmic vactrol loops and grainy incisive modular sound design. The LP moves through moods, spaces and tempos arriving at the distilled and appropriately named ‘Mandible’ that
chews into the previous tracks' themes with a stumbling urgency and an insectoid textural palette. Veiled feels like the culmination of a decade of Paleman works, a collection of tracks and merged sonics that represents his experiments, his club focused minimal works and his more recent explorations on PLMN and as ‘Fresnel Lens’ with drone, experimental and cinematic work. ‘Veiled’ paves the way for a new decade for Paleman, condensed and focused, whilst simultaneously expressive, experimental and free.

The twenty-fourth issue of the Digital Series by Secret Keywords, the Berlin- based independent label run by Gianmarco Silvetti, has arrived.

Making his first appearance in the imprint is the Italian talent Tracy, who burst into the music scene in 2011 in conjunction with the birth of the label Sonntag Morgen, conceived and managed in collaboration with his longtime partner MTD.

Tracy began learning theory and practice in the use of DAWs as early as 2008 when he began experimenting and researching his sound. Besides on Sonntag Morgen, his music has been released on labels such as Dynamic Reflection, Concerns Music, Shout Records and last but not leas Methodical, the new creature by MTD.

Experimentation is paying off in the international scene, and his latest releases once again provide a deep and assertive sound, an experience that only a true artist can offer. ‘Epistemeʼ, this is the name of his debut EP on Secret Keywords, will draw you in with its marked and concrete rhythms while your mind will be conveyed into the mazes crafted with rhythmic noise and roomy drones. After releases from label guests ASC and CV313, we have invited frequent contributor and resident Uun back for his third EP with Modern Cathedrals. Since his previous release with us in 2020, he has released a full length album on Ego Death, as well as EPs on Mord and Semantica. 

For Aspect of Obliteration, he brings the broken gritty textures that are often present in the background of his work forward, shining light on them and giving them new meaning. The EP’s narrative drive begins at creation with the Winds of Huron, and continues until its natural destruction at The Flood’s Arrival.

My linux won't boot so I'm presently forced to use Windows, and because of the bug in Soundcloud's system my account is all messed up when I don't use a VPN to connect which I am unable to do now... trying to get help from my VPN provider. What I wrote below was heart felt but presumptuous and pretentious.  I would have to not be stupid myself to be allowed to claim such a thing.  More importantly though, I don't believe it is correct or accurate.  These people are probably not stupid but just don't care.  Justice is a collective thing and many if not most people seem to live in bubbles.  It is perhaps economic oppression which is responsible, they just don't have the resources, the time, the energy to be concerned about what lies behond that bubble.  It used to be fine but there's this thing they call globalization which makes this increasingly impractical or impossible.

Justice and vengeance are not the same.  Apparently most people are too stupid to see the difference.  Unfortunately it is not something unique to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and not unique to group conflicts.

What happened to intelligence?  Aren't we supposed to be the "intelligent" specie.
