Dead Channel Records welcomes Kelan, macabre jockey of the gritty industrial underbelly of Bristol’s deviant, avant-garde scene. 

Performing as part of the raucous and theatrical, rhythmic noise act Bad Tracking, the occult driven Salac, and resident DJ and founder of the longstanding underground night Slack Alice, the seedy raconteur has defined his sound in biting taunts, soul-baring political venom, and sleazy noir, punctuated by scummy, gnarled electronics straight from the gutter. A follow up to his ‘Downtown’ release on Bristol Normcore in 2022, This no-holes-barred, raw EP full of debauchery and bane stands fast as a praxis against the rotting establishment.

The Nothing Was There Edit Is an edit of the original industrial track from the legendary project  'Tone Set' that combines most devilish synth melodies with heavy bass and percussion from the original cut inside one more playable edit.

The Edit was made some time ago, this track has 2 official edits, one made by the label released with their box version of Cal Ranch's EP, and a long original version by the artist, we like both but we figured out we could have one edit with our favourite moments of this piece, i made it to be played in some concerts and now I'm sharing here in the cloud.

Drakkar Noir is a feceless figure who inhabits this world, an alias shamelessly lifted from a sleazy and long out-of-fashion scent, a brand name derived from a mashup of mythical pretensions and hollow advertising jargon. I have been making music on and off for other 10 years and it's his way to escape from every day life. I have always loved music of all genres. Growing up in Yorkshire in the 70's and 80's I was brought up on groups such as Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dreams and the Who. The 80's changed a lot for me when the begin of electronic music started to hit the scene. Breakdance and the music surrounding it was the thing I remembers the most. Along came the 90's and my love of music just grow with the acid/rave scene along with the Brit-pop scene. But it wasn't until the end of the 90's I discovered how to make music on a computer and this fascinated me so much.
Electro has been to be my first love ever since I first listened to Kraftwerk back in the early 80's. Then my first release comes in 2016 on Urban Connections for the label compilation of VA “Fifth Element”, which was the beginning of a continuous collaboration with the label until today. 
Have worked on remixes for the likes of Cybereign.
I have created an EP "The Cure" on Urban Distorsions record label as well as my debut album "Perfect Machine" on Urban Connections Label.
I have also featured on the the fund raising album "CAREBOTS" by Bass Agenda Records.
