TaikoElectro is an electronic music and filmmaker based in France.
Drummer, he comes from the punk and alternative rock scene from the 90’s. He listened to a wide selection of sounds very early: electro-pop of New Order, experimental tune of Kraftwerk and Autechre, groovy from Detroit.
With this eclecticism, he decided to produce and host a radioshow called "Fase" in 2000 on Brume radio (Radio Campus Lyon) broadcasting a weekly musical selection to the discovery of electronic music.
He is producer since 20 years in CG animation industry.
He decided to combine his expertises to produce electro and break music, and synthetic atmosphere.

Which artists has influenced you the most?

- When I was very young, my father had 2 vinyls of Kraftwerk we listened to a lot: Radioactivity and Autobahn. This was my first contact with electronic music which influences my curiosity towards this music. Autechre, Aphex Twin / Richard.D.James and Board of Canada was then the basis of my Electro culture, along with by Jeff Mills, Underground Resistance, Derrick May, Kevin Saunderson, Surgeon for Techno music. Many more genres of music influenced me over the years: punk rock, new wave, hip hop, soul, jazz,... Music accompanies me at all times of my life like a continuous soundtrack.

What new projects/releases with your participation are expected in the near future?

- I currently work on electro tracks with minimalistic sounds for some, ambient and break sounds for others. I always really like to explore many aspects of electronic music. The plan is to release an EP as soon as I wrap up relevant tracks. 

Which artists/labels is more relevant to you now?

- As electro music is the biggest part of what I listen and produce, I would say Umwelt, Jensen Interceptor, Zeta Reticula, Anthony Rotter, The Exaltics, Clark. I like to follow some of these artists releasing tracks over different labels such as Newflesh, Central Process Unit, Cultivated Electronic, Mechatronica Music,Tresor Records. I've got a special respect for Division Virtuel Records which highlights many styles of electronic music while keeping an explorer mindset.

What inspires you now to create music?

- I get inspired by everyday life which gives me themes to develop my music. Music can be totally different depending on the mood you're in.

What set-up do you use when creating music?

- I usually combine 3 to 4 synths/bar of this list to achieve tracks : Nord Modular G2 and Nordwave, Waldorf Pulse 2, Roland SE-02 and TR8s, Leploop 2, Moog Sub37, Korg Polysix and Microkorg, Dave Smith Instrument Tetra, Behringer TD-3 and Odyssey. Ableton, a Push, 3 Motu 828 MK3 Motu audio interface and a 8x8 midi interface allow me to use all of them on the fly.

Following Genèse by a year and a half and titled after Ernst Jünger's book, La Guerre Comme Expérience Intérieure marks the return of the mysterious sphere on Roulette Rekordz. If the first album mostly focused on dreamlike atmospheres and melodic sequences, this one is a concentration of anger, paranoia, and violence. Exploring new territories with a faster and more aggressive approach, the half-organic, half-synthetic entity delivers 8 tracks that culminate in fury, with a total length of 47 minutes.

Generally preferring to remain anonymous as "Machine Ethics".

His music is mainly influenced by modern electro artists such as w1b0 or Umwelt but his
root influences go much more into both depth and width. He's listened to EBM, Industrial
and Electro Industrial for a long time before being hooked with modern Electro and IDM.
Andrew Weatherall and all his projects like "Two Lone Swordsmen" as well as Transparent
Sound and Plaid have also become a huge electronic influence.
When he's not listening to electronic or industrial music, He prefers "rebooting my system"
with Stoner Rock, Folk and Post Punk / Goth Rock.

He bought his first synthesizer and drum computer in 1999, a Yamaha SY 77 and a Boss DR202,
starting to experiment with them using Cubase and to record (mostly industrial) stuff that he'll
keep anonymous. However, in 2008, He got on a very antimaterialistic trip while moving from Berlin
to Leipzig, sold all his gear and just kept his acoustic guitar.

In 2020, he decided to start his Electro Project, embracing todays possibilities of producing and
distributing.

Reflect from Rotterdam Netherlands played at a lot of raves since the nineties. Every dj-set is a story of rare b-sides, classics and blasting new tracks. This mix is a step aside, an experiment of electro, bass music and breaks.

Exactly one year after my 2022 release entitled 'Agitation Propaganda', I return with a collection of new tracks that were produced between the middle of 2022 and early 2023. This 20-track album, as the title suggests, is a tribute to the love affair that I have with making music. In 2023 I celebrate my 40th birthday so I thought it was good timing to release a concept album that pays homage to the one true love that I've ever known- Synthesis ♥️

This album, as with the last, relies heavily on the sounds of classic synthesizers/drum machines like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, SH-2, JX-8P, System 100, Juno 60, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, as well as some contemporary additions to my studio like Hydrasynth, System 8, MC-707, MicroFreak, Prophet Rev2, Novation Peak, Minilogue, SE-02, and Microkorg.

The artwork for the album was done by the brilliant artist Kelly Gilleran, who also just so happens to be my long-term girlfriend. She is a pattern designer, painter, and illustrator. Her work can be found here: www.kellygilleran.redbubble.com/

I have been making music on and off for other 10 years and it's his way to escape from every day life. I have always loved music of all genres. Growing up in Yorkshire in the 70's and 80's I was brought up on groups such as Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dreams and the Who. The 80's changed a lot for me when the begin of electronic music started to hit the scene. Breakdance and the music surrounding it was the thing I remembers the most. Along came the 90's and my love of music just grow with the acid/rave scene along with the Brit-pop scene. But it wasn't until the end of the 90's I discovered how to make music on a computer and this fascinated me so much.
Electro has been to be my first love ever since I first listened to Kraftwerk back in the early 80's. Then my first release comes in 2016 on Urban Connections for the label compilation of VA “Fifth Element”, which was the beginning of a continuous collaboration with the label until today. 
Have worked on remixes for the likes of Cybereign.
I have created an EP "The Cure" on Urban Distorsions record label as well as my debut album "Perfect Machine" on Urban Connections Label.
I have also featured on the the fund raising album "CAREBOTS" by Bass Agenda Records.
