The 122nd edition of the Mood Series on Greyscale introduces Italian artist Ercos Blanka with his debut release, 'Seta'. This album is a profound exploration of emotions, blending melancholy with majesty and underscoring its beauty with heavy, aggressive processing.
'Seta' is an immersive journey through sound that begins with 'Glauco,' which draws listeners into a deep, emotional space with its dense, chord-driven atmosphere and subtle echoes of flowing water. It's a track that evokes the reflective depth, reminiscent of BVDUB, establishing a poignant tone for the album. 'Marine Sediments' follows, characterized by sweeping melodies and a touch of piano that adds a layer of elegance. The heavy echo effects contribute to its moving, almost ethereal quality. 'Footsteps' offers a sense of underwater exploration, with its deep, submersive qualities and propulsion-like sounds creating a vivid sense of motion and immersion. The track's progression enhances the feeling of diving beneath the waves.
