“Rashed and I met when I was back in Bahrain during a transitional period in my life. We had regular jam sessions at his place where we got into a groove with a few tracks. One of them was Hibiki Awa which was inspired by the infamous Japanese whiskey. The track was released on our digital compilation ‘Locus’ and got good reviews and asks on remixes and vinyl editions. Once we picked up our releases it was always on our minds to press this refreshed with some nice remixes from artists that felt right.”

We stripped down most of its elements swapped the baseline and noticed an interesting take on the original. After taking a break from a long late night session, a few Hibiki’s in, we got a little deeper into the mix and found the sound we were looking for.”
