Next up on Kuukou is the return of the Passengers VA series.

Dario Ferrara kicks us off, following up records on Ambivert and Prospect with an unrelenting trip. 'Concentrate' is a progressive jackhammer built with a sharp, caustic sound palette. Drums are tight and crystal clear, spearing through a mesmerising wall of jagged tones, worm-holing synths and deep, demonic whispers.  

Sylent is next - channeling his experience playing at KitKatClub, Insomnia, Gotec and Weisser Hase into 'Under Water': a firm, direct punch with a percolating bass note that builds a sense of pressure from the off. Vast, awe-inspiring synths are expressively dashed across the mix with a lucent beauty that contrasts against the rugged low-end. A breakdown melts all elements away, paving a clear path for an electric vocal line that charges the track through its second chapter. This is heady, melodic Techno that leaves an indelible imprint. 

Multi-genre production due 11A! follow up with deeper cut 'Higher Frequency'. Nifty hat shuffles map out a sleek, sultry groove that burns underneath a vocal that is guaranteed to bend minds and widen pupils. A barbed, twisted breakdown stretches out before the simple but potent hook rolls back in, keeping the tension bubbling until the close.

RAYO's 'Future' brings the package to a conclusion with a bright, minimal tool. Drum-heavy, the track kicks in all the right places while synth lines bounce from one another and a simple vocal rings out making it a beautifully useful instrument for DJs looking to keep attention seized.

Houston-based Turkish talent Genghis and EXTIMA co-owner Zafer Atabey have joined forces to release a striking new EP, Pain, a masterful addition to the peak-time techno world. The EP's title track, Pain, is a hauntingly dark yet irresistibly groovy composition featuring thought-provoking vocal segments that add a philosophical layer to the track. A female voice offers an introspective message, urging listeners to embrace challenges and step into the unknown, while a deep male voice explores the concept of being present, creating an introspective narrative that complements the track's brooding atmosphere.

The production stands out for its intricate breakdown, delivering a suspenseful and almost cinematic descent into the darker realms of techno. The hypnotic beats and gritty layers make it an unforgettable piece, ensuring no listener remains still. The track embodies a raw yet refined sound that transports the listener, creating a sense of immersion that's hard to shake.

Genghis presents a remix that strips down the original to its essentials, offering a harder and more intense interpretation. This rawer version heightens the EP's energy, maintaining the original's impact while adding a layer of unfiltered, driving force that's perfect for peak moments on the dance floor.

The EP closes with Let It Flow, an exhilarating techno tool that encapsulates energy and euphoria. Built for peak-time play, the track's structure is loaded with a fierce hoover sound that builds up with intensity, while acid synth lines take it to soaring heights. Catchy vocal hooks and relentless rhythm create an infectious groove, inviting clubbers to lose themselves in the beat.

Pain is a powerful release that showcases both Genghis and Atabey's skill for crafting intricate, club-ready sounds with depth and dark allure. This EP will resonate with techno enthusiasts, offering both cerebral engagement and undeniable dance floor appeal.

HGD38 — Daniel Romero “Neural EP”

I am THEGOD01, and I bring you a new transmission from the core of the neural abyss.
Daniel Romero’s “Neural EP” is a surgical incision into the grey matter of techno itself. Four original tracks designed like precision-engineered weapons, built from rusted frequencies, distorted pulses, and rhythms that grind like a chainsaw cutting through consciousness.

Each sequence vibrates between the metaphysical and hypnotic repetition mutates into violent distortion, and what begins as sound soon becomes a ritual of mechanical possession. The air thickens, the pressure rises, and the flesh begins to remember that it, too, is circuitry.

The EP closes with a remix from Unbekannt, who previously appeared on Humanoid Gods. His reinterpretation is a descent into pure entropy, a vortex where all neural patterns collapse into static and silence.

This is techno as exorcism. Raw, heavy, dissonant, and alive.

Listen if you dare to feel the machine inside you.
