He walks the scarred terrain, beneath an amber glow  
Then in the distance sees a village he might know  
He runs toward the light, hope pounding in his chest  
Two figures in the haze—old friends he thought were left

And shadows knock upon your door

“Destiny! Aragon!” Dreamer calls aloud  
The two turn and smile, lost faces in the crowd  
“I thought you’d died in the beast’s cruel storm,” he cries  
“We fled,” they say, “but barely survived.”  

He tells them of the forest, the figure cloaked in night  
Of how he gave him powers but vanished out of sight  
The air grows thick, a storm begins to churn  
Something dark is coming—villagers discern

Dreamer yells, “Get ready, battle’s coming, prepare!”  
Then from the mist, the figure reappears again  
Dreamer’s eyes burn bright with memories and pain  

“You tricked me!” Dreamer roars in broken trust  
The figure smirks, “I was never more than dust…  
A puppet of the one who seeks to bend and kill—  
My orders were to break you, and I will.”  

[Pre-Chorus]

The figure nods, and vanishes in air  
Leaving Dreamer staring, fists clenched in despair  
“What truth did he reveal? What lies were told today?”  
Only time will judge the war that’s on its way
