Following Robert Hood’s remixes of his Floorplan tracks ‘Never Grow Old’ and ‘Phobia’ in June, he’s back with new edits of ‘Protein Valve’, originally released on M-Plant in 1994, the year of the label’s inception.

As well as other early releases like ‘Internal Empire’, ‘Music Data’ and ‘Moveable Parts’, ‘Protein Valve’ helped set the standard for his M-Plant label becoming synonymous with a stripped down, tough and rhythmic raw sound that many artists still try to emulate.

The original ‘Protein Valve EP’ is a classic in the annals of Techno, which still gets played today and sounds as fresh as it did some 20 years ago.  Nevertheless Robert Hood takes an introspective look back and delivers these three incredible new edits!

Focussing on the bass elements these fresh versions keep the M-Plant ethos at their core with their pure efficiency and Hood’s mastery at getting right to the point of a track, with his focus always on the groove.

For its 303rd release, Tresor Records is glad to present a commissioned work by Donato Dozzy.

Rome based production maestro and DJ extraordinaire Donato Dozzy is unanimously considered as an illustrious leading light in all techno artforms.

Along his long career and extensive discography, Dozzy has proven to use his instruments most interesting ways, always re-inventing his music, always presenting new approaches to both the deeper and the more rhythmic forms of electronic music. It was self-evident to Tresor Records to enroll Donato Dozzy’s talents for this assignment, a nod to the seminal Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer.

The result is a relentless collection of radical, propulsive and bleeding-heart acid tracks. In Dozzy’s words.

Donato Dozzy wishes to dedicate this work to his lifelong friend Filo.

Tresor.303 released July 13th on 2x12” vinyl and digital.

A legend within the UK scene, Si Begg has been recording music since 1993 across the spectrum of electro, breaks, garage, bass and techno. With collaborations alongside Neill Landstrumm and Tipper on labels such as Tresor, Novamute and Fuel, Si Begg fast became a leading figure within the scene. Having stepped away from his original productions to focus on film and TV, Si Begg makes a very welcome return with a hefty four-track release '400 Million Pieces Of You'. Taking inspiration from the Drexcyian landscape on the ‘P1 Tek 2 Neu Anfang’ and ‘P1 Voltage 2 Repeater’, the stand out track for us is 'When We Were Young' - a hypnotic, looping trance record that takes us back to the 90s.
