We made Everlasting during the latter part of the first lockdown when everything still felt very strange and pretty scary. We’d both lost all sense of what was 'normal', and obviously there were no gigs on the horizon. So all we had was music.
 
It was the first time we’d actually had a long stretch to concentrate purely on writing tunes, so we got a huge amount done, and it was a bit of a life saver, to be honest. It gave us a real purpose, and without it we think we would have struggled so much more.

Often you write music not about the situation you find yourself in, but about the world you want to create in the future, and Everlasting is very much that.  It’s us trying to capture the idea of better days to come, meeting with those close to us again and feeling that sense of joy and release. 

We hope you like it and it brings you that some feeling when you listen to it.

Another track made deep during lockdown.  Rhode is a vocalist we've been aware of for some time, and the gorgeous fragility of her vocal just hit us in an extremely powerful way.  The second she laid the first demo on this track, we just knew.  

Haunting, intimate, but expressing all three of our souls at the time of lockdown.   A time when none of us knew what was going on, how things were going to pan out and just what it all meant for us all.  Even thinking back to it now, it was possibly the strangest time any of us have lived through.

This one we've been dying for you all to hear.

Continuing our ’Original Structures’ project, next up from the EP comes ‘Satisfy’ by Technicolour, a rustic, speaker-shaking number that’s been a staple in our sets and livestreams for a while.

‘Satisfy was born a couple of years ago when Andy and I were in between projects and we were just making tunes and bootlegs specifically to play in DJ sets. I didn’t think too hard about it, and just tried to create something that has that musical side we both love, but also packs a punch for the dancefloor. It’s been going down really well in our sets, and I’m chuffed to finally get it out there into the world’ - Pete
