A Sacramento Original, TechNission has a deep appreciation for all electronic music. With formative years being marked by solid gold oldies and Motown, discovering House Music was an inevitability. Building on those formative Black Cultural roots, the journey of TechNission’s love for 4 on the floor began with a Daft Punk anime promo on Toonami of all places. Starting with French Touch and moving into Techno, TechNission was listening to music that would take decades to penetrate the american market outside of the very Black, very Queer spaces of the country. The final point of evolution came many years later when Ben Aka TechNission attended his very first All Day I Dream Party in San Francisco and was introduced to the world of Melodic House.”
