More often than not, we listen to music to elevate our mood, brighten our day, and heal our souls. With or without initial intention, a music artist acts as a healer -  blending sounds into alchemical sonic potions. They tune into their subconscious to obtain inspired formulae all the while being on an obscure quest to find a remedy for themselves. 

After delivering 8 years of supreme underground material, Consumed Music is proud to present its next craft. Manic Brothers brings mystical vibes to Consumed Music with their new 2-tracker “Master of Remedies''. 

The EP is yet another brilliant example of the duo’s versatility and is bound to become the next dance-floor favorite, with the title track acting as a groovy floor-filler, and the deeper track “Morgongåva” that is a hypnotic afterhour trip.

The New-Yorker Justin Schumacher also delivers a neatly produced remix to the title track - an intriguing warehouse variant with hypnotizing sequences and 808-esque drums.

Founded in 1999, Rilis is the label from Naples techno pioneer Rino Cerrone that has exclusively released his own tracks as a series of ten vinyl EPs, but has also included remixes from old school heads such as The Advent, Gaetano Parisio, Stanny Franssen, Joseph Capriati and many more.

Relaunching the label after over a decade of being dormant, they have enlisted a couple of established producers showing their pedigree with a new four-track techno tool exploration titled Route following appearances on Marco Bailey’s MB Elektronics and Ben Sims’ Hardgroove.

Samuel L Session is a longstanding, influential producer who has contributed to Slam’s Soma, Shlomi Aber’s Be As One, Len Faki’s Figure and Emmanuel’s ARTS as well as his own imprints SLS, Cycle, New Soil, and Klap Klap.

Belgian Van Czar is now based in Spain and is an accomplished DJ who has also released on Kevin Saunderson’s KMS Records amongst others.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the track called “18-022” that is an understated floor worker. Raw and jackin’ with a racy, rippling bassline, its hypnotic traits combine with the dystopian tones and stripped back, analogue groove that make it shine with a classic personality.

‘Artificial Mind’ will have us on the quest for perfection. Humans are fascinated by the idea that technology expands the abilities of the physical brain, which means infinite possibilities for our learning, and the removal of obstacles to aid in impeccable performance and limitless creativity. As humans, we are already far in the process of merging our consciousness with virtual environments. How do we make sure the physical reality prevails? Or maybe, the elimination of it is the next step of human evolution?

An exciting addition to the Consumed Music catalog is the new collaboration of Alpha Particle Assembly and shadoW Work, as they both deliver warehouse vibes with raw industrial sounds. Cascading rave synths and hypnotic drums all blended with dystopian vocals make for an epic dancefloor hitter.

From the U.K., the techno legend Hans Bouffmyhre is on remix duties. Also as Sleaze Records’ label owner, Hans has produced a heavier variation with a warm industrial feel on the track “Artificial Mind”. Distorted kicks, stomping drums, and escalating synths, all layered with distorted vocals will put any listener on a hypnotic journey.

REMAINLTD148 breaks into autumn with 3 tracks by Axel Karakasis in Surface Tension EP. All tracks have already been given the thumbs up by punters worldwide!!

Surface Tension

A.Paul and DJ Dextro collaborate on the latest release in the revitalised Rilis series from the Unrilis record label. It features five dark and industrial tracks with hypnotic grooves, analogue sounds and dystopian atmosphere.

Rilis is a highly revered classic series that was originally launched by the iconic Rino Cerrone to be an outlet for his more experimental productions. Although Rino Cerrone has since retired from the music industry, his legacy lives on and the series was recently relaunched with new music from the likes Ritzi Lee and Samuel L Session.

Collaborating regularly, A.Paul and DJ Dextro are both veteran Portuguese producers known for their joint productions on scene-leading record labels ranging from Hans Bouffmyhre's Sleaze Records to the legendary Planet Rhythm.

Both of the guys are also accomplished solo producers, A.Paul heads up the highly influential record label Naked Lunch. DJ Dextro has recently dropped tracks on labels ranging from Pan-Pot's Second State to Coyu's Suara.

"Engage" opens the release with its eerie atmosphere and fast-flowing rhythms before the chunky percussion and stripped style of "Insipido". "Histeria" is third on the release with its trippy synth line and "Vessel 52" utilises punishing claps and explosive textures to deliver a constant flow of energy. "Reducer" closes the release with its shimmering pads and Detroit-inspired synth stabs that rappel with modulation.
