Serra draw from hardcore electronic aesthetics, with distorted low-end patterns that recall the physicality and repetition of heavy metal guitar riffs. The track features a continuous and forceful rhythmic structure, built around heavy kicks and sharp percussive elements.

The sound palette is saturated and direct, with subtle shifts that sustain a constant pulse of tension. Ambience is kept minimal, favoring an upfront and energetic listening experience.

Serra show weight and rhythm with precision. The track delivers a raw sonic experience, merging elements of extreme techno with the visceral energy of heavier sound traditions.

Mark Reeve presents his second release on Drumcode, ‘Run Back’, a four track EP crammed with heavy hitting kick drums and his signature big basslines. Slam continue their prolific activity in 2017 with their new 4 tracker, The Sanctuary EP. 

A year of relentless touring hasn’t stopped the Soma label heads from firing on all cylinders with each release, and this latest EP sees the duo turn up the heat once more.

The EP starts off with Conduction, a heady mix of crafted Techno and strong, tripped out melodic rhythms. The rigorous Rotation is up next and goes full tilt, drawing on the main sequenced tones to drive home a powerful and reactionary affair. Slam are always ones for creating great synergy within their releases and do so proficiently as the EP goes deeper with Convection. Subtle, modulating synths lead the charge and perfectly crafted percussive elements remain steadfast throughout. The duo close the EP with the title track Sanctuary. A vibrant, affair packed with pulsating tonality, as classic synthesis methods are used to immense effect.

A firm favourite in The AudioBloc camp, Andre Keller, both a gentleman and exceptional talent has delivered some incredible techno since his inception in 2016. Stuttgart based, Andre offers rich melodies and driving techno, but isn't afraid to try something different in his work. Some must listens are tracks such as Efficiency on Funk' N Deep, X-Asteroids and Mark IV on Silent Storm, Gravitron on Avenue, and of course his remix of Doublethink on The AudioBloc.

Consequences retain all the qualities we expect from Andre Keller, this time accompanied by acid recorded on the Behringer TD-3. His original works invoke memories from the past with strings and a break pulled straight out of a rave, pre-Public Order Act 1994.

Joining The Bloc for the first time and providing the remix, from Wrocław, Poland is the remarkable producer Mislaw. Stripping back the acid for this version and replacing it with hypnotic ARPs. Label boss, Rtch Kallan also returns for BLOC6, displaying his love of breaks, showcasing this centre stage.
