Acid house pioneer DJ Pierre is celebrating 35 years of DJing and making music with a massive remix package of his iconic 'Acid Track'. To honor this hugely influential dancefloor slammer, DJ Pierre has tapped 35 house and techno luminaries to remix the track.

The second volume of '35 (Acid Track Remixes)' features Lorenzo Cheng, Anfisa Letyago, Luciano, Najel Monteiro and the king himself, Carl Cox.

Ahead of the remix EP's release this August, Carl Cox has been kind enough to share his interpretation of the track with Mixmag. His spin on 'Acid Track' builds big and throws down heavy with bulky drums that rise up with the classic acid line in a devastatingly club-ready demeanor.

Once again Thomas and Tassilo are back and this time they come direct with three fierce cuts of proper, intense Techno. The trio of tracks all embody the heavy, dark, and psychedelic moments of wild club moments and warehouse nights, yet all three tracks take a different approach to arrive with the same intention. 'Radio Berlin' kicks things off as a hefty and infectious groove sets the stage for a swirling hypnotic tone that weaves through strong blasts of cinematic tones and booming percussion shots in a slick, spell binding ride. Following suit but turning up the intensity and adding a bit more of an abrasive touch, 'Deutsche Welle' veers into truly sinister territory where mischievous arpeggios and breakneck percussion thrive on a backdrop of eery atmospherics, flawlessly creating a rave detonator. The final addition to the EP is definitely the deepest and most trippy campaign of the trio: 'Kanal 7' is an absolute burner with an intensely addictive groove of rolling low end. For the next installment of Renaissance’s acclaimed The ReMix Collection, Drumcode boss Adam Beyer taps his label cohorts Bart Skils and Layton Giordani to join him in creating a pulverizing remix of Pete Lazonby's classic 1994 UK techno track, 'Sacred Cycles'. 

Giving the tune a tough and voluminous treatment with their signature Drumcode sounds, the trio beefs up Lazonby's original track with an injection of heart-pumping bassline and swooping synths.
