Based in San Francisco, California, Farsight has firmly established himself as a name to watch in the past five years, with releases on labels like [Re]sources, Prjkts and Scuffed exhibiting his deftly-blended melting pot of club music influences.

‘Renegade’ is his second release on Scuffed following 2019’s Oaktown EP, which picked up support from the likes of HAAi, Jaguar and FAUZIA.

Farsight sets out a clear statement of intent on title track ‘Renegade’, with his own vocodered vocals delivering immortal lines like “best beats in the biz coming atcha”, backed by anthemic rave stabs, weighty 808s, and raucous breaks.

Was hard keeping it a secret from him, i had an advantage, i knew better than most what luke liked !-)  I gave the prize to the runner up, i forgot his name now. It's quite quiet becuase the sub is so loud and low, trade/off. \ Won the Future Music competition for the best Luke Vibert remix. Axefield’s opening ode to the exotics is a lucid dream in which your answers are questioned by a tropical animal as the steady beat thumps on and the hypnotising synths make you swing left and right. As the filter flings the hallucinogenic Ostrich Ride To Other away, the palm trees turn into riverbeds and clear crystal dreams. Was this the other side? I don’t know. You don’t speak Ostrich either. All we know is that you should ride the darned thing by its wings. If you would have listened you would have heard.

They had been waiting at their respective battle stations for far too long. The alarm let out harrowing, rhythmic shrieks while the crew exchanged panicked looks. If their demise was to be imminent, what else should they do? The incoming strike was supposed to have vanquished them by now. The portholes revealed nothing of their surroundings at these depths. Time came to a halt. Months of training had prepared them for these moments, but it turned out that, ultimately, nothing can fully equip you for a standoff with death.

Following instalments last year from Metro Zee and MOY last year, London-based producers BufoBufo and Corporeal Face return to their own label, Ritual Poison, to drop off another beastly four-tracker titled 'Monolith On Mars'. Together, they form the galactic, sci-fi super duo known as Escape Earth, with sounds inspired by the great beyond.
