BB Deng - Broken Ego

After his fabulous first appearance on our Kalaidoscope VA we welcome back French artist CLAIN with his own Vierge EP on Mirror Records. The title track Vierge starts progressive and builds up into a stomping dancefloor banger featuring lovely vocal chops and slightly trancy melodies. Monsieur Pluspetits remix of Vierge takes a darker approach adding a haunting and technoid touch to the release. The second original track Better Now Than Tomorrow sustains a quite dark vibe but the playful melodies and rhythms add to a bittersweet masterpiece. Vierge is one of these very unique releases that have something for any taste and will resonate with its listeners for a long time.

We welcome the Isreali artist Noyers with Time Code EP on Mirror Records. The title track Time Code starts progressive with playful melodies and opens up into a captivating breakdown. The second track Parallel Universe features evolving drum patterns that build up to a break which is punctuated by a stirring lead melody. On the flip side of the EP are two individual remixes of Time Code. The first one by ZIGER starts rather melancholic and builds up to a mesmerizing dancefloor banger. The second remix comes in the typical Another Mind style: compelling melodies, raspy bassline and shifting background sounds.

Global Grooves Episode 22 w/ DRUMCOMPLEX

We welcome the Italian artist Sardu with his Astris EP on Mirror Records. The title track Astris consists of a dark vibe punctuated by a high and haunting melody creating a very thrilling and captivating experience. The second track Polarity takes a more straightforward approach with a more repetitive melody, strong drums and heavy bass. On the flip side of the EP are two individual remixes of Astris. The first one by FREYA features many additional atmospheric elements and a captivating bassline. The second remix by Gizmo & Mac takes the listener straight into a shady warehouse rave full of bass, sweat and strobes. All in all, this is a heavy techno release not to be missed!

Apart from releasing his music on the world´s largest and biggist Techno labels like Second State by Pan Pot or Terminal M. by Monika Kruse. 
He is the inviter for his own event TRYland at legendary Wategate Club in Berlin. His sets are just amazing and on top of this he is just a really nice guy!

It's been in the making for many, many months and we're very proud to finally share the very first EP with you!We are extremely happy to announce Bock & Fuchs as our very first artist on Mirror Records. Of course, it's not a coincidence that this outstanding electronic live act features our premiere. We discovered Bock & Fuchs a year ago, almost exactly at the time when the idea of Mirror Records came up. And we immediately fell in love with his unique take on electronic music. With drifty grooves, crisp live drums and massive synths, Bock & Fuchs played himself into our hearts and we instantly knew he would be the perfect match for us.Monsterfox is the name of the title track and like the prey on it's flight from the name-giving predator, the lead synth shows a small glimpse now and then until it finally breaks free when the drop kicks in and the wild hunt truly starts! Monsterfox was already the perfect track for every situation but then Bock & Fuchs sent us Signal and we were completely blown away. Signal futures an outer-worldly lead synth, a heavy bass line and catchy percussions all over a stomping kick - perfect for those peak-time moments we all seek and love! To top off the EP, the third and final track called Ka Nalu Nui was the perfect complement. Ka Nalu Nui, hawaiian for the great wave, truly lives up to its name: Catchy sound bites play around a dreamy synth and a heavy bass kicks in from time to time, slowly building up, until it finally breaks like the waves on the shore. Rafael Cerato is our first remixer. We were following his work for a long time and it is a big honor to have him on board for this first release. He took on Monsterfox, making it a little more straight forward and heavier. Granting it a technoid touch that suits both, the track and the label, very well. On the other hand, Suspensus rebuild Signal to an even harder track. The rising talent added a raw and driving touch to the track, while speeding it up and therefore adding the last missing pieces to complete our first release.

The goal of the Four Points series is to celebrate the international dance music scene, and this time is no different. With two acts from America and two from Germany, this new edition of the compilation bridges the Atlantic divide with four excellent new tracks and two Yoshitoshi debuts. Although clubs are closed, virtual parties and live streams have taken over the industry and new music is as important as ever, and we know these new tunes will find a happy home in your set, even if you’re playing from home.

Los Angeles native Rinzen starts things off with exactly the type of intricate melodic techno the producer is known for; big, pounding drums and fluttering synth riffs that intertwine throughout the arrangement create an intense sonic journey. Next up we have Rachel Raw and BOHO, the dynamic duo from Cologne, who made their massive debut on Yoshitoshi a few months ago with the Happening EP. “McQueen” is a dark and hypnotic roller that we could just love to hear in the club right about now. Berliner MUUI make his Yoshitoshi debut with “Panoptic Phase,” showcasing his brand of cerebral house music with swirling, arpeggiated synths and spacious pads. This one is perfect for the late hours of the night. Finally, Bostonians Warung round things out with “Memora,” an excellent addition to the package that shows why the young duo has already caught the ear of tastemakers like John Digweed and Waze & Odyssey. It’s deep and melodic house at its finest.

Hello friends, 
another release is coming up. BOHO has just a left a great impression on his contribution for the LEVEL series. Now he's back with an EP! 
One of the many benefits to Senso Sound’s prolific release schedule is the exposure it allows to new artists alongside the more established names in the scene. Here, Lars Kohl, aka BOHO, drops his first EP for Oliver Huntemann’s label, following on from a handful of releases on his own Jannowitz Records imprint. The Ungeduld EP (‘impatience’ in English) showcases the Cologne based DJ and producer’s talent for no nonsense dancefloor primed techno. Skip The Line kicks off with an urgent groove welded to a gnarly, growling bass synth. Other ravey hits and blips punctuate the track giving it a hardcore edge that yearns for for sweaty clubs. Title track Ungeduld has a similar restless energy, but the groove is a slick, pared-down beast that underpins more unruly synth blasts. Last up is Mint, a slightly deeper groove that exudes a euphoric malevolence through tightly controlled tension and its eventual release.

After his contribution to Kuukou’s Passengers vol.4 George Adi returns to Kuukou for his
Gravity EP comprising two original tracks, with Jannowitz Records own BOHO and Rachel
Raw in charge of the remix.
Gravity is an inviting track that stays true to its name: floating pads and a subtle, restrained
lead cross path with a levitating bassline, giving rise to an electrifying peak and resolve.
BOHO and Rachel Raw take on Gravity’s spaciousness, amping its unobtrusive yet entrancing
lead. Grave pads and ominous synths complete the soundscape, giving off a more nervous
alternative. Second track Desert is a less nervous, more straightforward techno track with
heavy-hitting drums and a lingering lead that feels both fresh and familiar.

PREMIERE: George Adi - Gravity (BOHO & Rachel Raw Remix) [Kuukou Records]

Mirror Records starts the new year with a fabulous 5 track EP by Julian Rocchi & Nicolas Buccafusca including two remixes by Baunder and Bock & Fuchs. The EP kicks off with "Right Copy", the title track of this EP. The progressive house track features stirring pad sounds and ever evolving percussive elements. Next comes Baunders remix of "Right Copy". He added more depth to to the track trough a sweet musical landscape carried by a blend of additional harmonies. The second original track "White Rhino" captivates through a more forward approach, where driving drums and a hypnotic melody will make sure to get everyone moving. The remix of "White Rhino" was crafted by Mirror Records veteran Bock & Fuchs and fits perfectly to the EP, giving it additional dynamics and clarity. "Insight" finally completes the EP with its club-focused sound and rounds off this release beautifully.
