Anna-Marie, originally from Augsburg, took the leap to Berlin a year ago. As a part of the Aurora collective, she embodies good vibes and contagious energy. Her journey within the collective initially began with support for designs and events. However, it didn't take long for her to discover the DJ decks for herself. Her good friend Leo, a producer and founder of the Aurora collective, gave her the necessary push for this.
A definite highlight of this journey was their first back-to-back set with Leo (Zenit), which they played at Remise on August 18th. She is happy to be a part of the collective and is already working with her crew on exciting events that promise an abundance of good vibes and endorphins. Her biggest dream? To bring the Berlin collective family to Augsburg, creating an unforgettable experience there.

This week’s podcast features Parvatis, a 26-year-old artist who needs no introduction. He first joined us in 2022 and performed at one of our events last year. With 4 years of DJing experience and 3 years of music production under his belt, Parvatis has been deeply influenced by the events he attended before the pandemic.

Music has been a part of his life since childhood, and transitioning from guitar to the electronic scene felt natural. He taught himself DJing and production, emphasizing the importance of skills like beatmatching and track selection. Parvatis believes that in today’s world, self-promotion and networking are crucial, as is being well-versed with various gear and performing under pressure.

He doesn’t follow trends or strict genres; instead, he plays and produces what feels right, from classic tracks to the latest releases. Parvatis looks up to Maltese artists Thomas (Natura2k) and Luke (Scythe) for their trance sounds, and cites Melchior Sultana, Human Safari, Yazmin, and the Indigo Collective as major influences on his hypnotic, groove-driven minimal sound.

For Parvatis, the most rewarding part of DJing in Malta is being part of a vibrant community, connecting with like-minded individuals, and collaborating. The ultimate reward is stepping off the stage, exhausted but knowing his set truly moved the crowd.
