Yamila, Argentinian born, since her childhood grew up exploring different musical styles, ranging from South American tribal rhythms and percussions to progressive rock synths, and the basslines and dreamy sounds from alternative and electronic music. Singing in a choir for over a decade, she became passionate about singing and choral vocals, which have now become a key part of her sets. Her foreign language studies lead her to constantly achieve a perfect balance between words and music, since each idiom has a distinctive sound and meaning that enrich the structure of Yamila's sets by finding their proper voice in the flow designed for the dancefloor. In 2013 she moved to Berlin for a few years and there she discovered and deepened her love for the clubbing culture, experiencing the emotional and social power of techno music. Back in Italy she gets involved in the organization of various electronic music events and approaches the study of mixing, starting to play for small venues in and around Milan. In September 2021 she became DJ Resident of the Closer party in Milan based at Masada and Amelia, where she had the opportunity to play with great artists of the current international techno scene and to express herself freely and continue to explore her own distinctive and emotional sound.
