Simina Grigoriu continues to expand on the Kuukou catalogue, adding to a treasure chest of wrought-iron club tracks with an impassioned EP courtesy of Italian producer Devid Dega.
Dega's tracks have found their way into some highly esteemed record bags over the years and have been road tested by the likes of Adam Beyer, Dubfire, Richie Hawtin and Maceo Plex. He writes bold and purposeful club music that manages to convey a certain sincerity whilst packing an undeniable punch.
His 'Even The Truth' expands on this canon and presents 2 very different sides of a coin. The title track kicks things off with a dense, metallic kick driven under rich chords and an emotive vocal line. Break downs give way to dramatic drops before 'Spinner' finishes up with a caustic, urgent Techno track. A razor sharp sequence and acidic drums burst alongside galloping hats that rattle on with unrelenting intensity. A fervid breakdown unleashes an apocalyptic drop which proves the versatility of a producer operating at the top of his game.
