A prominent name in New York City’s local scene, rising talent Saint Velez has been making strides with his blends of deeply immersive, high-octane techno.

Born and raised in Queens, NY, Saint Velez discovered his liking for dance music at an early age. He spent his teenage years exploring the underground clubbing scene, attending happy hardcore and trance music events throughout the city. 

Eventually inspired to make music of his own, Saint Velez began his music production journey over a decade ago and has spent his time since then developing his sound, releasing a slew of tracks, and performing at clubs such as Avant Gardner and H0l0.

Notable productions from Saint Velez include his full length album “Warehouse Poetry” along with multiple EP’s like Load of my Mind and Cigarette cuts. To kick off 2023, he celebrates his latest release “Innerpeace” on T78’s Auektone Records. The 3-track EP brings a familiar yet diverse sound that Saint Velez is known for.

Presently, Saint Velez is gearing up for his debut at Elsewhere in Brooklyn on February 4th, 2023.

For the 7th installment of our mixtape series we have invited Irish music producer and qualified sound engineer Mark Greene to feature. 

After completing his training in the Sound Training Centre in Dublin under Will Kinsella (Hybrasil), Mark began signing some early tracks to various labels in Europe. Quite soon Mark was releasing tracks on well established labels like Bush Records, Naked Lunch, Elektrax and Carl Cox’ longstanding imprint Intec Digital. 

A string of popular releases allowed Mark to play all over Europe with regular trips to Amsterdam in particular for the annual ADE each Autumn.

An avid drummer as a child, Mark has always had an affinity for heavy kickdrums in his tracks. As the years have gone by his productions have gained some bpms and Mark’s music is now finding its way into the hands of DJs at the forefront of the industrial techno scene.

Rebekah, I Hate Models, Theo Nasa, Chris Liebing, D.A.V.E. The Drummer and more are supporting his productions of late, particularly his recent tracks on his new label DORCHA Records - meaning ‘dark’ in the Irish language.

Mark launched DORCHA Records in 2020 to circumnavigate the typical months-long wait to release on other labels. The label is a place for Mark to release tracks on his own schedule and experiment with various different styles and creative approaches. 

The aim of the label is to identify new artists and build a small roster to carry the DORCHA flag.

Each month you can tune into Mark’s Progress Radio show for one hour of unreleased music from himself and some of the best producers in techno. Broadcasting on several stations around the world, the show will reach the 100 episode milestone in 2022.

@hybrid.act is a Techno DJ & Producer from Brazil has been based in LA for 7 years, total. His background draws from Psy-Trance back in 1998 when he got in touch with electronic music. 10 years later, the Techno scene began to gain traction in Brazil. He claims to have fell in love with the sound and started digging for artists like Popof, Spektre, Chris Liebing, Boris Brejcha, Super Flu, Ahmet Sendil, Khainz and many others.

Hybrid.Act project was created in 2021 to showcase his Hypnotic Techno tastes. His DJ sets are described as Hypnotic tracks with spatial ambience and a groovy vibe.

Frida Henson (born in Mexico City) has a Brazilian and Mexican ethnicity. She has traveled and lived in various countries and cities. Whilst doing so, she discovered her passion and need for music. Her eclectic tastes in Techno reflect her journey and her time spent in Belgium, Amsterdam, Mexico & of course, Los Angeles, California.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, DJ and producer TECHSi is on a path to reshape the sounds of techno! Going against the grain, TECHSi infuses his music with otherworldly acid and psychedelic sounds.

 Heavily inspired by hard techno, hard groove, hypnotic, acid, and psytrance, and with a deep passion for techno, it only made sense for the Los Angeles native to begin blending uniquely sounding genres into something completely unique and original.

When you are in the crowd vibing to a TECHSi set, you will hear the signature style that he has developed over the past 10 years of mixing and producing. 

TECHSi has been rocking the underground, performing across Southern California for some of the scene's most respectable crews: REFORM, TechnoFam LA, Technation, Acid Nacht, ControlRoom, Club Fall Out, Polernights, Odyssey, Subterranean Dwellers, F.U.N, Altrn8, and many more. 

The hustle doesn't end there; TECHSi has had several releases with Kalibr+, Hatelab, Optimal Sonance, and most recently Volx Community & Records. It's time to tune out and tune in to the sounds of TECHSi.
