A fresh face in Brooklyn’s underground techno community, Xiorro burst onto the scene in early 2017 as co-founder of ALKHEMY, a Brooklyn-based techno collective whose primary mission is to highlight diversity in the techno scene by providing a platform for people of color and other marginalized groups. Over the course of a year, Xiorro has hosted over 25 parties, granting him the pleasure of working with over 70 DJs from across the globe. As resident DJ at The Black Hole, ALKHEMY’s monthly underground techno party, he introduced his taste for dark, fast, industrial techno. In the summer of 2017, Xiorro expanded his work outside of ALKHEMY as resident DJ and booking manager at The Gateway on Thursdays, with his techno party series: Dissolution. Intended as a limited-series party that featured locals only, Dissolution deliberately showcased women and people of color as headliners as the series developed, nodding to Xiorro’s ongoing activism work at the grass root level. To date, Xiorro has played in Boston, Pittsburgh and supported distinguished acts such as, Lenny Dee, Paul Birken, Plural, D.Carbone, Mørbeck, 138, Donor, Boris Brenecki, Ayarcana, UMFANG and more. A true proponent of preserving the original concept of the rave, Xiorro speaks to his crowd through rattling, progressive and high-hitting sonic dialogue.
