The pseudo-occult ‘Anthropomorphism’ offers a fresh take on classic industrial techno, exploring themes including spirituality, mysticism and one of the prevailing concerns of our time; Artificial Intelligence. The metallic and almost dull kick echoes against the angelic chorals layered on top of the dark industrial vocal sample that blend into the eerie atmosphere of the bassline. The track reflects on imagined dystopias and the rise of AI, tapping into the depths of the human experience in an age of machines. The vocal samples draw parallels between medieval humans who saw the Devil as the ultimate evil, condemning all that challenged their understanding and idea of god. The sample used in the breakdown of ‘Anthropomorphism’ recounts the various different names of God in ancient languages including Sumerian and Aramaic, pointing to the argument that there is no right or wrong way to understand any one matter. This track aligns with the perceptual dichotomies of my sound and taps into the depths of the human experience in an age of machines and the rise of AI, addressing fundamental questions that we have about the world we live in.
